I am still buzzing too! There were so many things... the mayhem, the sheer noise, the delight, the relief, Bluey and Crazee the mascots celebrating on the pitch, outpouring of warmth to Leif as he walked to the SBR on his own, almost everyone staying long after the final whistle, the Clarkey fist pump and Kieran clearly enjoying the moment. In the strrets outside everyone was on such a high. Whatever happens - this is some team to be following right now. Talk about getting our Club back - this is on an altogether different scale to what I imagined a few years ago. Only football can do this and that is why I have always loved the game. I think Russell Martins comments were a bit disingenuous and lacked class as they were indeed a good side but failed to capitalise. Take a breath and onto Norwich...

OMG I do hope we make automatic promotion, I wouldn’t want to meet Southampton in the play offs even if we have taken 6 points off them in the Championship.
Last night Sky pundits unanimously predicted Town & Leeds for the top two slots for the first time, let’s pray they’ve call it right too. I think it’s the first time they’ve nailed us into one of the automatic places.
I must admit I’ll feel better after we’ve navigated Saturdays game at Norwich and hopefully come away with 3 points. Norwich looked very poor at Leicester yesterday but as we all know their home form is significantly better than when they play away, plus of course they always raise their game when playing against us.

What a sight seeing Chaplin run across the pitch to celebrate the winning goal with his teammates, problem was he'd already been subbed lol and had his jacket on, hilarious but a worthwhile yellow card !!

I think we all dreamt that. See this from the Guardian
https://www.theguardian.com/football/20 ... -hull-city.
Looks like we didn't play yesterday!
FFS! What is going on?

That's ridiculous but you know what, the more we are ignored and put down the better it is for us, hopefully come May we'll have the last laugh and be plastered all over every tabloid comic out there.

Watched most of the game on the sky go app, last 10 minutes it crashed & all I could get was the imminent Leeds game coming on,missed the last goal but extremely happy with the result Southampton were impressive with their slick passing but passing the ball about in a nice way doesn't win games, amazing team spirit at the end won it,one of the best games this season, shame I couldn't get a ticket.

Was taking my oldest back to college yesterday. She was driving and I was watching the game on ESPN on my phone. We just happened to get a red light and I angled the phone so she could watch also. At the angle I was watching I saw Sarmiento kick it and had a brief moment of, did that just go in???!!! I then went berserk for above five minutes while she drove!

In the spectrum of news sources I'd say it's on the more credible end...Blue Wilf wrote: ↑Tue Apr 02, 2024 2:23 pmI was just amazed that anyone reads the Guardian - let alone its sports pages!trimleyblue wrote: ↑Tue Apr 02, 2024 11:00 amBut then I found this!

Sounds like she's doing most of the 'taking back to college' there Ohio! Cracking when we manage to catch these events while out in the wild!Ohiotractorboy wrote: ↑Tue Apr 02, 2024 1:59 pmWas taking my oldest back to college yesterday. Pretty sure there isn't one. I used to read a lot of news, I haven't read any this year and it's only brought about good things. 99% of news we don't need to know and is just designed to make us angry. The other 1% you can find on here

In commentary the commentator made specific reference to a section of town fans jeering the players as they left the pitch at half time, there was no reference to the officials, but hey it’s not overly important just disappointing if true.Cabanas Blue wrote: ↑Mon Apr 01, 2024 6:46 pmJerring was for the officials according to Sky.Charnwood wrote: ↑Mon Apr 01, 2024 6:28 pmMe too although to be fair a draw isn’t much use to either side.
I’m not sure why some town fans are jeering the team off at half time, I think that’s a bit harsh. In my opinion we’re up against a very good and well drilled Southampton side worth and paid a fortune more than our team.

I’ve never bought or read the Guardian in my life but I have read the Sports pages occasionally on my online news feed and always thought their sports journalism to be pretty darn good and very kind to ITFC.

It was a tongue in cheek comment, guys - remember humour? none of them get my vote - all self serving, woke or politically biased one way or the other. Viz is a far better alternative - especially for any Geordie based fans out there!valleyroad wrote: ↑Tue Apr 02, 2024 4:08 pmWell i read it most days. Aye Viz, good point. I actually scan across all the papers online whatever their poltical persuation. They are all right at different times. Even watch GB News now and again but that is a stretch.

It really doesn’t matter which team plays better during a match. I know it sounds trite, but the end result is really what matters. In my opinion, finishing chances is far more important than dominating possession. Such was the case yesterday, and it was a reflection of what McKenna has instilled in this team. Still a long way to go, but the football gods have certainly got their eyes on us.

Fair point Ricco, I even commented to her how cool it was that I could watch a live Town game in England on my phone in Indiana. And we were smack dab in the middle of farm country in Indiana!
