I remember standing in SBL after a frantic summer of signing loads of new players and watching the game and not being sure who all the new players were, I think it might be easier this time as we know most of who we've signed..

Haha I also remember a pre season game where I was having to point out and explain to my dad who the new players were.

It is a shame we have signed so many - hopefully they are all upgrades on those who got us here

Tbh I’m beginning to lose count but I think you’ll find that Kieran McKenna has now signed at least 3 more players than Sir Bobby Robson signed during his 13 years managing ITFC.

I think you’ll find Sir Bobby signed 18 players and when I tried to count a few minutes ago I think McKenna is up to at least the mid twenties since he arrived in December 2021.

Yes, Paul Hurst, not so good, 26 in and 24 out, this including loans and frees and what not. Kayden Jackson and Donacien were his only additions that have been good servants to the club, the next few in there that at least played a few games were Nsiala, Gwion Edwards and Jon Nolan, not a lot else in there by the looks of it.

To give Paul Cook full credit, it's worth noting for a start that he has seemingly done a decent enough job at Chesterfield by the looks of it. Yes, it was was ludicrous perhaps, he brought in 31 and turfed out 36, but some of the names he brought in... Burgess, Chaplin, Edmundson, Morsy, Burns, Hladky, Aluko, Kyle Edwards, Walton... Bonne and Celina loans that did a job, there's a few failures, Harper for £580k, but considering he got the rest of them for about £2.5m!! I think he deserves some serious credit there. He didn't get them firing, but he only had 10 games to do so, perhaps this comment upon leaving has some validity to it... "If the new ownership had sat down and said to me at the start that if we didn't have instant success then I would be gone, then I wouldn't have stayed. That's my only regret."

I love paul Cook for what he did in outing out all the dross, especially that wanker Gwion Edwards, spoilt pretentious pr*ck, I do think as a manager he's kind of found his level now though.
