So, no Delap for Newcastle game,

Who would you be playing as the striker to lead the line?
If he’s recovered from illness, I’d have Szmodics. He’s done it at Blackburn and has experience. He’s mobile and quick even though he lacks height. My front players next week would be …..
……………………………..Szmodics……………………………..
Broadhead ………….…Chaplin……………………….Omari

So did Pele, Maradona & Messi.

Trust me, he was booked and is NOT available for Newcastle game. McKenna confirmed this in his post match interview.

A few verbals at most from the pictures. If you get booked for that in football their would be no one left on the pitch
However still nothing on any media outlet or the Premier League website to show that he was actually booked.

Thanks Liz for confirming that McKenna said that in his post match interview as I thought I was going to have to add hearing to the list of things that don’t work anymore due to old age!

Good job your not the manager then? What signal would that send out to Al Hamadi? He deserves his chance.

Do you seriously think he has the experience to lead the line for 90mims? …really??
He will probably go out on loan in January …what message is that giving him from McKenna then and before you answer, be aware he WAS going out on loan in August but Hirsts injury stopped that.
NB. “ good job you’re not the manager then”, isn’t it!

Delap dose not lead the line for 90mins. Subs on 65-70 mins normally. So that part of your reply does not stack up. As for Szmodics leading the line in the Premiership, which he has never done, again your reasoning does not stack up. Hopefully you have a decent assistant, because as a manager you worry me .🫣

Yes, and so will KMck. Whats wrong with that? When he has come on as a sub, he has done nothing wrong.

I thought the discussion was from the start. Hallam had said 90mins.
But yep, Al Ham on a sub is delicious sounding.

No, he will start. My point was, when he has come on previously as a sub he has done nothing wrong and deserves his chance. So I will say it again. He will start and lead the line. Are you Hallams assistant manager? God help us

Ok,

….. so what you are saying is, to get ITFC climbing the table, Al Hamadi needs to be the starting striker mainly because he’s been an ok sub?

No worries.
And yep,

-ing he works out.

I'd give him a treat as Harry Clarke likes to charge upfront, exposing his right-back position. KM says Harry, your centre forward and leading the line, ENJOY

And before you all shout, you are joking

NO, I'm serious. I think he could do a bloody good job. Or, at a pinch, play Phillips and give him some game time? rather than idol around in midfield, there's many a full-back that's been converted to centre-forward, My old buddy Malcolm Mcdonald used to play left-back and boy was he quick and couldn't stop a pig in a passage with bow legs

Ok, how about this……. (Forum rules state gambling is prohibited) …… if Al Hamadi starts the next game, then the boss is no longer the Messiah.
YOU take over the title. Messiah Mendip The Messiah of TB.com ! Its a winner all round.
Must admit, Hand on heart, i’ll be shocked if Al Ham starts a game. And it’ll put Kieron in the “WHOS THE MESSIAH” relegation zone.
Edit: But then , on further reflection, if Al Ham starts, shines and maybe assists and bags a winner……. Then hmmmm,

, you’ll need to share Messiah status with the original Messiah who is KMcK.

You going to be ok with that?

You know what though, I actually think Al-Hamadi has done really well in his cameo appearances and was a handful. I don't think he will start but I'd have no issue if he did.

No, I'm afraid I wouldn't put Al- Hzmadi in from the start. I think there's a huge difference starting a game and being able to influence the attack, and coming on for a 10-15 min cameo role against a tired defence, especially when you have minimal exposure and experience of the game above League Two.
We need a player next Saturday who has greater experience than Al -Hamadi atm. I'm not saying AH will never be good enough because we've brought him to the club to develop. But with our current injuries / illnesses etc, next Sat we desperately need a player that is more likely to perform for 60 mins leading the line, than a player that has never done it before at the higher level. Out of the available strikers, Szmodics would be mh choice ( but probably not McKenna's), followed by Broadhead? I honestly felt AH would be found wanting if he's put in front the start.
