Disappointed with that section of the crowd who bigged themselves up and asked the club to place them all together ' to get the atmosphere banging ' they now seem, at the very moment the club needs them ' to have lost their voices.

It was certainly subdued yesterday. Conceding after 26 seconds did not help! Hope they find their voices again soon cos we need all of the noise we can generate.

When a team is struggling good crowd support is essential to keep the players lifted. Palace fans have always been good at it even when they’ve struggled and with crowds much less than ours. I think our away fans are incredible but at home less so when we’re not playing so well and Saturday was pretty shocking on the pitch.

It doesn't make the apparent majority right though...

That is true, but it is good to read though. After YEARS of guys like Keane, Jewell, McCarthy, Cook, Lam-berstard, (won't add Hurst as the guy didn't stand a chance, too many w*nkers in the actual team)......, its good to read that there is a level of respect there on a par with the great names of the past. Reading on here, (learning more from attending fans) and on other platforms reading "balanced views" --->> there are flaws (as with all managers) and hopefully he can iron them out over the next half season.
Desperate for him to succeed, (as you all are)......, couldn't stomach a sacking and back to square one.

Took a moment to reflect it's around 30 years to the week since Burley took over from Lyall. Know it was end of year, may be a week or two out, point being that were another transformation that eventually worked out.
Sometimes wonder if McKenna at any time surpassed the above for what he's done in the lower divisions with us. If we were doing great in the EPL, in or around the Euro places for example, it would be a much easier question to answer but it's been poor and both he and the team have fell behind badly. For whatever McKenna does here in what time remains, he's unlikely to go beyond Ramsey and Robson is just too far beyond him to even place near the same plateau.
I don't believe the manager here is beyond firing. Yeah yeah he's done great, marvellous, outstanding - you can use all those superlatives and more, however if the same set of scores continue to occur and we remain rooted to the bottom reaches of this league, you kind of need to ask just how much tolerance do the more authority figures have within the club set-up. McKenna believe won't resign, he'll either stay on or be eventually forced out if results simply don't pick up or remain as they are.

Yes - it was a bit of a tongue in cheek comment based on the debates on here in the past few weeks to be honest. I never believe any BBC 'poll' or headline generally but to be fair, I have no doubt most fans are with him and want him to succeed. It would be interesting to know what percentage of fans have a level of frustration of the kind we have been discussing as well but at the end of the day, I guess it doesn't matter that much as none of us want to start from scratch again. I think that is where much of my comment/observation comes from in that I genuinely feel that with a bit less of an intransigent approach, we could be better off points wise but he won't change (much like Postecoglu at Spurs) and this may well see us relegated, him disappear and then we get exactly what none of us want! Still - not much I can do about it I guess. It's Christmas Eve so f*ck it - it's a problem for a few days time, not now. By the end of January, we will know...

McKenna has a free hit this season.i feel. We are " ahead of schedule" in terms of division placement, which has notable strains on the in tandem, squad development which obviously due to consecutive promotions, will be behind the curve.
In many ways, McKenna is a victim of his own success right now and with not be sacked because of it by the owners. Our owners have a longer term strategy that us fans i think.
