And yes, I did see George on three occasions at Easter Road back in 79/80. My parents (and me and my siblings) emigrated to Australia for the second time in 1980. Best played for Hibs in the section of time between our two Oz expeditions. I remember being very unhappy at leaving for the second time because I was older, and I missed Hibs so much. We didn't know exactly how long Best was going to stay, but I do remember crying my eyes out saying, "What about Hibs, dad? What about George Best?!" Looking back, I suppose I didn't miss much as he didn't stay long. FTR, we came back in 83........, and the cabbage & ribs had Ally Brazil!!

did you know George Best was a Wolves fan and once had a trial with us. a great decision by Wolves to let him go.

I knew it was a goalkeeper as you said I finished in 1982 that would have made him 42 at the time.
