Some posts will be removed...

Just letting you know that some posts will be removed from the "General Chit Chat" area later on this evening. We currently have over 2672 topics and 41169 posts and realistically 99% of them arent viewed anymore, so I shall be deleting all posts over 3 months old. This is just to keep the database size down which will allow me to back up the server on a daily basis quicker and easier than I have too at the moment.

This will not effect your post total (so dont worry Earl I wont be knocking off a few thousand

) and this wont effect the overal post total of 62157.

Probably could of done this without anyone noticing, but I just thought I'd let you all know

Dazza can you go through all the posts and archive any that are particularly funny or thought provoking to save them for posterity?

thats a great idea, but sounds very time consuming for poor dazza

I have a question tho dazza, when you have removed the posts, can we still view them from our own names?

Dazza, our site used to have an "expiry" on it.... after 28 days all threads were removed from the database.

That might be an idea
