Films you should see, before you die

A place to chat about anything thats not football related. Most of the threads in here are completely pointless which is why people keep coming back and back. As the forum title suggests, feel free to make any post you want on any subject you wish. It also has Adult jokes (so be warned) which is the other reason people keep coming back.

The only film series that had a worse third entry was possibly Robocop. (or The Exorcist)

If we're comparing godfather 3 and Robocop 3 then yeah, that was worse.

It could be argued that that particular Godfather instalment was misunderstood, but Robocop..... What utter tripe.

Looking for genuine guidance here....... Godfather 1&2, awesome. But way back when 3 came out , a few people in the family saw it, said it was sh*t and I never ever went to see it , and didn't even get the DVD. I ask this question ...... Will I be wasting. 2.5 hours of life watching it, or, (even though it's not 1 or 2 class) is it worth the watch?

No give it a miss

Rent a copy of Howard the Duck and you'll get a comparison of how bad a movie can be

Watch it if you know you can still disassociate it from the others afterwards. It rounds off the saga but it lives off of "our relationship" with the characters from the prior films.

It serves up nothing noteworthy unfortunately.

for those of you who are going to watch 50 Shades - don't freaking bother - its so tame, no sweat and all fake,

for some really good un-simulated stuff and Good Storylines have a look at

Ken Park
Shortbus

outta the 2 me and the missus enjoyed Shortbus - was a good story.

Flight suprised me the oyher night. As the mrs and I lay on the sofa we thought we´d give it a try. Must say though a Little slow it was a riviting Watch, and Im glad i took the time to watch it. Not sure on whether or not its a true story Denzil never really disappoints.

Took in a viewing of Trainspotting within the last 24 hours, and some would argue it's a title that warrants a place in this here list.

I never knew what to make of it, maybe it's supposed to be a comedy ?, but if your idea of a fun movie is a bunch of degenerate drug users, excrement, and having the word c-nt inserted every two minutes, then this could be right up your alley.

The dialog is difficult (to comprehend) at the best of times and there are one or two genuine look away moments, but it's an OK watch, if you have the stomach - or tolerance - for it.

Apparently they're going ahead with a remake in a year or two with the original actors (and Kelly MacDonald) but I don't think it could ever work. Best leave it alone and try to enjoy it for what it is.

Irvine Welsh's books are much more fun to read...especially 'Filfth'...hilarious!

I've read bits of Porno - that is, the (Irvine) Welsh book of the same movie title, but it didn't generate much interest and in all, found it boring. It wasn't a page turner.

Welsh I've heard is a talented author, universally acclaimed, but going on that one alone, I wouldn't be in too much of a rush to read any of his other work.

Apparently there's a movie out too. Has anyone seen 'Filfth'?

Apocalypto was a brilliant film, though Im not keen on the director ,its a riviting story. I dont Watch many films with subtitles but the film drags you in and you really feel for the head charactors plight. Mans inhumanity to eachother really knows no bounds at times.

Good film in my opinion.

Adding Schwarzenegger's Commando to this list if it hasn't already been included

Not so much one to see before you go, but the fact being it's simply the #1 contender for the 'movie so bad it's great' accolade.

(Seagal's On Deadly Ground comes in a close second)

It's the 30th year anniversary of the former and at a time when Schwarzenegger was just becoming recognized at the theater after The Terminator (1984) but this release will scar him until the end.

Those who have viewed this will need no elaboration
