How far do you have to travel for home matches?

A place to chat about anything thats not football related. Most of the threads in here are completely pointless which is why people keep coming back and back. As the forum title suggests, feel free to make any post you want on any subject you wish. It also has Adult jokes (so be warned) which is the other reason people keep coming back.

I live just outside clacton so not that far, although most of the time I come from wherever I'm working. Most of the time, that's bloody missions away.

About a 20 minute drive if there's no traffic.

About 18 miles each way, or half an hour there, an hour back - although if attendances keep falling, it'll be half an hour each way. Always try to find somewhere to park without paying.

Exactly 262 miles round trip. Hard to justify the time at the moment let alone the cost at 23mpg x £6.30 a gallon = approx £70!... I wish I'd not just worked that out.

How many of you attend games regularly? I drove back from Sheffield just for the Wolves game the other week - when driving back the morning after I really questioned my sanity.

I'm at every home (although I've started to question my sanity on that) and generally one away game a season. Ideally a London one on a Saturday.

Hi Hatch, you can always make a detour at M1/J22/23 and share a lift.

I used to have one, so I know the feeling. When you next change do what I did and try a Lexus. Same comfort, not as thirsty.

I've only just changed my Z Series for an X Series. To be honest Don I'm a bit lazy with cars and keep them for ages. I'm also not very adventurous as I've only bought BMW's for the past 20 years and the latest an X5 is my 7th since 1993.

Having said that I bought an Audi TT Roadster for my daughter a few years back which is now sitting in my garage waiting to be sold. It's a 2005 1.8T Quattro (225bhp). It cost approx £33k new, has a genuine less than 31,000 miles on the clock. Will accept £8500 if you know anyone who may be interested. It really is in fantastic condition, just haven't got round to advertising it yet.

200 mile round trip.

Did every home game (friendlies and cup, and weekday games) for 4 seasons. But sadly had to give up now, got too expensive! :(

I can see the ground from my kitchen window so it's a 10/15 minute walk.

No Nightmares here Marko....well apart from the nightmarish noise you reluctantly get for living off the high street.
