One he's never gonna drop to this level so it's a pointless debate anyway , and Two and it's purely my opinion so don't take offence but we have a fab together in this squad with no bad apples or low life's, I believe him to be both of those things, as do Man Utd if the truth be told and they no far more than any of us ever will on the subject.
Agreed Mike, but not sure why we’re chatting about this moron on two threads.

Yep, looks likely to be tied up today, bit sorry to see Greg Leigh go tbh, never seen him have a bad performance for us, very competent player but time moves on.
Already I wonder if we are adopting the same stance as last season where by we signed players while in L1 who were Championship quality, are we now signing players in the Championship who could well be Premier league quality ? Slicker, Hutchinson (in time), Williams.

The more I think about it, I just don't believe Williams will merely be a back up for Davies or Clarke. I'm pretty sure KM has other plans.

The only concern I have about this signing is the lack of playing time he had last season due to injury. Hopefully we can soon get him up to full match fitness and then I have a feeling it could turn out to be a very good signing.

I'm really excited about this signing. Not so much because of the player himself (although hee does seem to be an excellent acquisition) but because of the message that it conveys. It tells me that we are going to do exactly what we did over the last two seasons, that is we are going to build a side that is ready for the next level and in the meantime achieve that next level by being simply too good for where we are.
I feel that there are still a couple of deals left to do in this window and can't wait to see them. Happy times!

We’re certainly punching above our weight in the transfer market albeit few and far between but long are the days when we only signed journeymen freebies looking for another payday. Indeed “Happy Days”.

I’m pretty certain he’s not here to make up the numbers or sit on the bench for too long.

Looking at this I think we’ve just signed our strongest defender in our back line! He looks head and shoulders above what we’ve currently got and he can tackle with left or tight foot and crucially header it properly !

Looks a tough nut that's for sure, let's hope KMc can get him back to the level he was as last year he had injuries and didn't do anything.

Exactly Liz which is why I was amazed so many on here were underwhelmed or unenthused by his potential signing yesterday and even preferred to stick with Greg Leigh. This guy is at a different level and will be a huge asset to the squad. Early days but I’d like to see us sign him permanently if we get the chance.

He certainly looks a,step up on Davis defensively but I didn't see an awful lot by way of assists etc in that reel, Davis excels in that department and is massive for us in that respect which is why I don't see Williams playing down the left, I have a feeling its down the Right where McKenna could be earmarking him for.

Yeah I think we'll possibly see him on the right too, if I understand it correctly Clarke and Donacien can also switch sides if need be so there are options.

I think you’re spot on Mike although I like Harry Clarke too and hope his injury is only temporary. I can’t help thinking that somewhere down the line McKenna has something different up his sleeve for one of these three players and I fear for Donacien too who has worked so hard to get his career back on track and must be wondering what the future holds for him.

Yep I agree, Donacien he's deffo found life back in the Championship tougher than most, against Stoke and QPR I definitely felt he was the weakest player and sadly there can be no room for sentiment. I agree about Clarke too but I'm concerned he could be injury prone.

I thinkm I read that Clarke's injury is being managed constantly and that he isn't able to train as hard as the rest of the group. It may be that the team will get Williams up to speed and then give Clarke the chance to have surgery or rest (depending on need) so that he can be at peak.

It maybe that McKenna thinks Clarke is injury prone too and realises that Donacien isn’t up to Championship level and probably won’t make the grade. This said Brandon Williams was out injured for 5 months last season and has yet to prove he can get back to where he was pre his injury. If he can all well and good and given he’s out of contract at the end of the season we could pick him up for next summer especially if he enjoys his time at Portman Road.

For some reason it seems to have been completely hushed up Liz which could be seen as a little suspicious. He was also rumoured to be on his way to Serie A side Fiorentina in Italy initially on a season long loan deal with a buy clause at the end set at €5m which also fell through. Maybe we’re taking a slight risk here but I don’t see any serious downside.

We heard all this with Broadhead but he's so far proved the concerns unfounded, there's an element of risk to all signings where there's been a history of injury, look at McGoldrick for crying out loud, he hasn't looked back lol. Now if it was Camara I'd be concerned.

I see that Williams is in fact 6ft tall and KMc has seen him play centre half, so good news I'm now thinking this is a good signing for Town.

Yep, He is a very versatile LB, RB, or CH, and boy has he got some energy. As Liz said he's head and shoulders above what we have on the books, and not afraid to get stuck in, I'm most impressed looking at him in that 10-minute reel, he did do some very clever assists and flick on's, and I think he will slot in wherever Kieran puts him on the park, he will help the others to up their game as well energy wise. love him to bits a very shrewd signing and we can expect a few more like him from MAN U. We have to build now as we face a very tough season in the Championship.
