With due respects, the games I have been to this season the SAR cardboard cut-outs are making more noise than ever known beforeShed on tour wrote: ↑Sat Oct 07, 2023 11:07 amDue to unforeseen circumstances won’t be in my usual seat in SBR lower today but in with the cardboard cut outs in SAR lower (no offence meant to anybody on here who sits there ).
Will have to be on my best behaviour then but it will seem strange actually sitting down at a home game.

Burgess looked all at sea and Davis had a decent opportunity to clear his lines. That said we had a good chance to restore our lead very soon after and need to be more ruthless in front of goal.
Just like that. 2-1 Brandon Williams . Now how good was that for an individual goal.

It just gets better
…and it took Leicester 60 mins to score their first on Wednesday night.

63% possession, 11 shots with 7 on target and 3 goals scored and were only at Half time.
Town are simply unplayable today.

At least with them playing football and having a go at us should create more space. A brilliant game for any neutrals and for us as long as we win.

Well that takes the pressure off, inspired substitutions by McKenna. OMG we have so much strength in depth.

Another good goal starting from Freddie winning the ball in the other half I believe.

If we win today, will we bypass our season total last time in the Championship?

I have this feeling that we might in fact be the real deal.
I think I need to have a lie down.

Another fantastic result, the first half we were superb, they couldn't contain us and we really should have had more than 3 with Hirst's one on one in particular needing to be put away, Chaplin's strike was incredible, Williams run and goal sensational and the header back by Burgess which created the Third was excellent.
It has to be said that for 30 mins of the second half we lost our way and they were well on top without creating much at all, except the goal of course. Once again inspired substitutions got us over the line with Ladapo and Taylor instrumental in Jackson getting the killer Fourth.
I heard lots of talk pre game as to how tough this would be and how stubborn Preston are but in truth we swept them away again, I mean Four excellent chances in first half stoppage time alone is quite something.
An Eight point gap now and that takes some closing, the break comes at a good time I think cus second half some of ours looked knackered.
The highlight of the day for me was the MOTM performance from Brandon Williams and his race back to tackle the striker by sending him into the advertising hoardings and then proceed to fist pump the crowd as if to say "take that", pure emotion and determination, loved it.

I had Hull down as a loss. A week ago these couple of fixtures would've seemed fearsome, but 7 goals scored and they've been swept away.
Incredible stuff, question is just how long can they keep it going. At this rate they'll get 117pts this season,so it has to slow at some point
