Apart from the pens not given, we were lucky to get a point really so lets take it and move on...

They are the sort of team we struggle against. Take a point and move on.

Do you know what, I’d take that ping tonight. Again we’re not on our best game , yet we get something. It’s ALWAYS hard against a physical Rotherham desperate for points .
Maybe a full strength Town would have won there tonight.
I liked what I saw of Axel. Very assured and has a presence about him.

Not sure what game you were watching but no shots on target is hardly battering anyone...ipswichtownNo1 wrote: ↑Tue Nov 07, 2023 11:00 pmLucky to get a point? Ipswich battered them second half. 3 points was fully deserved

It was scrappy but that’s what you get when you play a side in the relegation zone. Given their position I thought they did quite well. That said if the referee had some balls and did his job properly we’d have been out of sight.

Very poor tonight. Yet again we started the game so slowly which seems to be getting a trait now. Thought Chaplin was dreadful, certainly will need to improve for Saturday.

Like I’ve said numerous times before, we concede too many goals. We need defensive & midfield reinforcements in January. I mean 1 or 2 quality loans or signings. I’m optimistic GameChanger will provide the funds, especially when you think about the profit potential of their initial investment. Sure if you’re fine with promotion not happening this season, but the suitors will be calling for KM. The only way he stays in my opinion is if we get promoted.

That was the worst we've played all season and we are showing a few signs of losing our very best rhythm, the last Four games have all been similar so it's a testament to the players they've got 8 points from those games. Another break after Saturday and it can't come quickly enough, I was in agreement with the changes tonight but the sooner we get a fully fit Burns, Broadhead and Williams back the better.
All in all we are 3 points off Leicester who by all accounts are walking the league and 8 ahead of Leeds who everyone thinks will catch us easy so we should be pleased I guess. We set such a high standard which cannot be met for 46 games but we've lost once ! Carry that on and we'll go up. I think it's crucial we beat Swansea to keep the gap as it is, November is vital as December looks very tough.

I have a question for you. What players on our squad would you consider Premier League quality?

We haven’t played well since that international break. I think opponents have sussed out how to play against us

Possession counts for f*ck all if you don’t score goals. Only 3 shots on target from 71% possession. Not really good enough especially if we want one of those two automatic promotion places .

The difference is Leicester are picking up points even when they play badly and getting on the right side of poor refereeing decisions eg v Sunderland who were denied a stonewall penalty which would have cost Leicester 2 points. . Certainly their fans don’t think they’re walking it, they can’t believe their luck.

If you look at the history of ITFC, draws have consistently been our achilles heel. I think we’ll comfortably beat Swansea, but the caution lights are flashing. I’m sure MA/KM are absorbing the current run of performances. They both know what we need, and at this point I feel our future is in good hands.
