What a fabulous build up for Sarmiento’s goal especially the passing between Hutchinson Tuanzebe and the scorer. Brilliant.

Oh no not another injury. Chaplin looking in pain.
It looks like a twisted knee.

Re: Championship - Ipswich Town vs Birmingham City Preview & Matchday Thread
frustrating thing is this should have been a wonderful opportuity to have taken three points. The opposition don't seem up much, having an unspectacular season and we're just not taking advantage of it. Going to be real irritated to only draw should it come to pass but guess we'll just have to chalk it up to the team not putting in one of their better performances. Promotion nerves and all that, guess Leicester last night and Southampton today being such an example if needed.
f**king yes, Sarmiento scored and we're ahead. That is real relief and pleasing to see, we're going to be value for it too even if not playing paticularly well. Minutes away from victory, can't allow this to slip now.

Anything Leeds can do we can match, great flick on by Kieffer Moore and another goal in added time for Omari Hutchinson.

Another strong finish by the boys in blue, great performance by Axel at RB, I’m really pleased for him.
MOTM must have been close with Hutchinson.

Re: Championship - Ipswich Town vs Birmingham City Preview & Matchday Thread
thank f*ck for that it's going to be a victory although result was somewhat in doubt only a few minutes before.
team showing desire and determination in winning and best of all we're getting victories once again after a spell where points were dropped and we missed out. Believe Southampton confirmed as beaten today, it's a great set of results in truth. We're still playing there but it's a win, there's no way they can deny us victory now.
edit, full time, a 3 - 1 win. Great resilience appeared shown to do it but require to check out full match details and reaction before applying further review or opinion. Great set of scores for us and the Millwall victory.

Great result 6 Pts off top spot .
We can dream the automatic spots are still there for the taking .
Just like last season we are the wolfs chasing the top 2 .

Full-time 3-1 win and also Axel had a very good game got a good performance Rating, now keep him in the team Kieran and give him game time he will only get better as he can play anywhere across the back line

So am I Charners all he needs is game time he is a quality player, also how's your golf course standing up to this weather I haven't played for nearly 3 weeks now our links course at Littlestone Warren is flooded on so many holes, and I hate stodging around in mud

We have the opposite problem as we’ve had no meaningful rainfall since last April and have drought conditions with our reservoir at 8% of where it should be for the time of year. Desperate times Ash with many parts of Spain now living with water rationing.

And well deserved I didn't want to see him in the team but he certainly proved me wrong, excellent display defending and going forward.

Hutchinson couldn’t have been far behind him for MOTM. Surely he has to start at Plymoutn.Cabanas Blue wrote: ↑Sat Feb 24, 2024 6:19 pmAnd well deserved I didn't want to see him in the team but he certainly proved me wrong, excellent display defending and going forward.

Didn't see that coming on 75 mins as we looked very lacklustre and pedestrian but as is the norm we never give up and that was a really strong finish by Town.
Tuanzebe and Hutchinson superb today and won us the game, I much prefer Tuanzebe at RB, he was faultless.
Think we got a few injuries today though with Burns, Broadhead and Chaplin all taking knocks, didn't think Moore looked particularly fit all afternoon either.
A great win and well in this race for promotion, Southampton can't stand the heat and Leicester are faltering, what a lovely Saturday evening ahead.

Looks like we were all bouncing in the 81st minute today. Well done the cabbage and well done ITFC -->> 12 points from 12 last 4.
And excellent news that Axel Tuanzebe wins MOTM. Very well done indeed.

What a crazy division as always. Southampton 22 unbeaten and looking to walk in to 2nd spot, and now they've lost 3 in 4!! Looked like Leeds were dropping away and now they're imperious.
Point being, even top teams with top squads can hit bad patches. Automatics ain't over yet, not by a long shot, even Leicester are only ahead by 6 now.

Who would have thought about ten days ago that we would now have 4 wins and 12 points more COYB.

Re: Championship - Ipswich Town vs Birmingham City Preview & Matchday Thread
3pts when not quite at our best. Sign of a good team apparently!
I think the injury to Burns disrupted our fluency as we seemed to flounder about a bit after he went off. Moore looked to be carrying an injury because he did really seem on it for most of that first half. But we scored......but we also owe again get caught on the break. I'd love to have got the chance to kick their player,James firmly in the nuts frankly, after his prolonged incitement of the home end after he'd scored the break away goal. The ref as usual does nothing for this behaviour, and yet had he been showered in coins or bottles as a result of his inciting behaviour no doubt all hell would have been let lose.
Town always, always finish so strong in games these days. A combination of our fitness and quality in the squad. And speaking of quality I am SO chuffed for Axel. He simply strolled the game at right back today. Richly deserves his MOTM award too. I just hope McKenna keeps him innthevsidd because all hf needs is games now. He's the best defender at this club by a country mile - A Rolls Royce of a player is in there and we need to encourage and facilitate to come out. If we do, we won't hang onto him long either.
Great 3 points. And Saints I think will fall away now as they start to play the better teams in March. I Just hope Leeds fall apart in 3 of their games, and Leicester continue their jitters for another 3 ggames too.

Im hoping this happens....it's all about who deals with the pressure best isn't it. WE never give up which is a massive plus .Ricco wrote: ↑Sat Feb 24, 2024 6:32 pmWhat a crazy division as always. Lol, I said to Mike Chaplin hit that Brum player so hard, and it was a foul I thought, but then chappers suddenly goes down like a sack o *** and I thought, hmm clever Mr Chaplin...
I think he knew it was a bad foul , so feign injury to try and avoid getting booked!! Might be wrong but that was how I saw it...
