Well he's not one for the future as he's just signed for West ham, so must be as back as I doubt he'd be seemed as a Hirst equal... wonder if this means Al-Hamadi is joining Stoke permanently?

More of this at Portman Road please. Delap can leave…., and no strikers required.

They were chancing it......, they wanted a flake in it as well. Wycombe said "GTF, no chance!"

Odd that we’d loan him (again) with an obligation. Why not just buy him? It almost sound like that is a repast of last years deal (with a lower fee)

I'm hoping something is lost in translation, and it's not reporting on the original lian deal we had with thrm. But I yjonknitd clear the player himself is happy at this club.

He from Iceland? He could've brought a whole box of Kones with him.

Ok, scrap the ice-cream humour. Especially with CayJoos possible going Neapolitan.

Don't know about anyone else but I'm not overly bothered about Burgess moving on, I just think we need to be moving forward in a different direction with better in all honesty. I think with O'Shea, Greaves and Tuanzebe (if he stays), one new seasoned CB would set us up nicely and allow Burgess and Woolfenden to move on, they just feel a bit stale for me now, it needs freshening up.

I'd like to keep him as he is a known quantity AND left footed, and getting good left footed CB's is not easy, but for me he is backup to Greaves. The reality is he probably doesn't want to be backup and that is fair enough.

I'd also rather we kept these proven players this season and just focus on the fires we need to put out rather than creating more, i.e we need a new midfield and a striker badly.

I think him and Axel will depart though.

After listening to Mark Ashtons interview with Stuart Watson ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PlZ2HbA2ueY ) I believe they want Cajuste but concerned over his injuries

He does seem a bit fragile and has a fair few poor games. However, the championship shouldn't be an issue for him.

Qualitywise - he should be v good at the championship level, but fitness-wise it could be really bad for him, 46+ games is a grueling season, where as in the prem there are less games, less frequent etc and he rarely played the full 90.

We'd need to rotate him alot in the championship I'd think. Maybe he can dove-tail with Humpreys etc.

I'd just be dubious if Jens could sustain the Sat>Tue>Sat schedule of the EFL

I get why you say that given the second half of the season, but for me Greaves is superior and will deffo improve, I think we've seen the best of Burgess which for much of the time is very in and out and dare I say it, average. Will be interesting to see what happens.

I agree with you there. But get the feeling McK wants to build the defence around Greaves , and hopefully O’Shea. Whether he gets the chance to do that remains to be seen. In truth our defence has been anything but convincing for so long now. Sometimes it’s just about starting over again.

Omari…” My focus is on winning the Euros”

Translation.

“ My agent is currently negotiating a fantastic deal with soon to be new PL club”

He’ll be the next one off….

Followed by…..
“ I am committed to Town for the moment”, O’Shea.

There’s a common thread here is there.

Don’t be so cynical Hallam 😂.

Not sure anyone would pay much for Omari?

Ashton has come out and said one or 2 departures this summer but no fire sale, no major shake up of the squad etc.

He wants regular first team football, not gonna get it here, I would say that's the right level for him. I'm not concerned at all tbh.

I felt Burgess was actually better than Greaves , especially after Greaves cam bavk from injury as never seemed the same player to me. Maybe an opr ing fir Baggott to establish himself as competition now?

We are in a different league again now, a league where Greaves excelled and was one of the players of the season with a string of clubs chasing him. Burgess on the other hand was very in and out in the Championship, to be honest he was often dropped for a reason, yes he has good games but at times defensively a bit of a liability, its ok being left footed but it helps if you can do something with it.

I agree Greaves needs to recapture his form and I'm confident he will, he has the better pedigree in my opinion, he was decent at the start of last season, injury really set him back but look at the mess he came back into, defensively we were a shambles.
