Proudlock and Peters!!!
Out in liquid beering it up last night!!!
Nice to see that Proudlock has turned over a new leaf and isn't interested in partying anymore!
I was all for giving the guy the chance, but if he really wanted the chance I am sure he would be more interested in working hard on the pitch instead of partying off it.
And for peters who is trying to make a name for himself in the game surely he would be better placed trying to focus on training and trying to establish himself over the next few months.

Actually Hallam - I wasn't on the beer last night. I was driving. Only reason I was out was coz one of my mates had some bad news and I was there as moral support!!hallamblue wrote:whats wrong with a night out ?...it's 4 days until they play again. You were out last night on the beer werent you. Sorry - I dont see the problem really !
In proudlocks case we were told how he is turning over a new leaf and trying to earn himself a contract here. Well for all the fans who were concerned about signing someone who likes to party so much he is hardly endearing himself to those fans is he.
I know another young promising talent who spent a large part of his time in Liquid Nightclub - nabil abidallah - look what happened there!!!
The difference is I am not in the public eye and I can still perform at my job with a hangover - I only need to use a mouse. However these guys are meant to be athletes, so there is no way they would be able to train 100% today!!!
I am not against the guys enjoying themselves. But believe both would be better placed putting their energy elsewhere!!

I never had you down as an old woman, Mole, but that's exactly what you sound like. As long as Proudlock doesn't turn up pissed for training or a game then he can have a drink whenever he likes as far as I'm concerned.the-mole wrote:Actually Hallam - I wasn't on the beer last night. Sorry guys I was just in a mood this morning and taking it out on Tractor Boys - In peters case I am a bit concerned - he is young and easily influenced. He doesn't have any family and I have seen how that affected Nabil.
With regard Proudlock - just thought he would be better off keeping his head down and working hard. I am sure those on this board who have seen the footballers out and about will see where I am coming from.
I don't begrudge anyone a night out - including the 2 guys mentioned - but just think considering there circumstances they should be more focussed on other things!

Are you saying you saw them out in a club plastered?...the-mole wrote:Sorry guys I was just in a mood this morning and taking it out on Tractor Boys - In peters case I am a bit concerned - he is young and easily influenced. He doesn't have any family and I have seen how that affected Nabil.

Or just out in a club having a laugh?
They're only human, if they want to let their hair down, fair play! As far as Proudlock is concerned, sure once upon a time he had some issues, but as long as he can keep it under control then fine. Everyone likes a night out with a few drinks every now and again, and I doubt in moderation it's even detrimental to performance.

Dont see the problem? no1 would moan if a doctor was out drinking one night etc? it is a free country and a couple of beers never hurt anyone
thats even if he was drinking. What are you suggesting he stays in and is in bed by 9pm?
not like he is the Ipswich town supporters slave he can do as he pleases in the end its up to him and Joe if hes worthy of staying

Yes I accept Proudlock is skating on thin ice everytime he goes near a bar ..and I also accept your views that they are in the public eye and really have to be almost whiter than white. But I suppose I am trying to give him the benefit of the doubt really. He's making all the right noises regarding being given another chance by Town - I just hope he takes it !the-mole wrote:Actually Hallam - I wasn't on the beer last night. I was driving. No mate - don't drink on a school night anymore. I can deal with being tired the next day, but being hung-over and tired is too much.
I was just miserable this morning so went OTT about it all I guess. They are only human after all. I know peters has been out quite a lot and there are alot of people out there who would exploit him and turn his attention. I saw a similar thing happen with Nabil which wasn't nice to see.
The boy had alot of talent but in the end I feel the external influences stopped him from making the grade. At the end of the day he was a young boy brought over from a foreign country with no parental guidance. That is what I fear for Peters - hope I am wrong.

dont worry I suspect a certain Mr De Vos is keeping a very close eye on him as one Canadian to another - Mounties stick together dont they ?? but with the differential in pace between the two - my monies on Peters !!the-mole wrote:Cheeky bast**dhallamblue wrote:Yes I accept Proudlock is skating on thin ice everytime he goes near a bar ..and I also accept your views that they are in the public eye and really have to be almost whiter than white.
