I listened to a couple of the bands you named, and it reminded me of the music they used to play in Bosnia when I was there in the late 90's. Stinky bars with stinky music, we used to say. Oh dear, Herb will be after me now!phily bon bon wrote:
Brilliant Marko but not exactly what i had in mind.
Choir of young believers , oh no oh no , nephew , medina , Marie Kay , kashmire, DAD the list goes on
And the fantastic Vinnie Who you have to check him out. Its.a billion miles from that Aqua and Wigfield.sh%& .
no need to Apologise for having no music taste seriously there are so many groups i forgot to mention if your into more of a rock thing the BRILLIANT Floor is made of lava or Voldbeat. I myself like a little more poppy sound but there is a lot of great danish artists around.

I know this is a bit retro, but I've just been listening to U2's Unforgettable Fire. For me, this is their best album. I saw them in Houston on that tour. It was the best concert as far as sound goes.

Last thing I listened to was Thunderclap Newman, Lynyrd Skynyrd and Creedence Clearwater Revival. Not really one for the garbage they bring out today.

Paul Carrack..... Rain or Shine.
I went to see him in concert on Saturday Night (Picnic in The Park).
I'd no idea he'd written so many hits for so many bands.

Re: What are you listening to?
My musical (lack of) taste is varied to say the least. Just listening to Eric Dolphy.
According to Allmusic.com he was "a true original with his own distinctive styles on alto, flute, and bass clarinet. His music fell into the "avant-garde" category yet he did not discard chordal improvisation altogether (although the relationship of his notes to the chords was often pretty abstract)." I think that's just a way of saying strange.

Blackfoot, Highway Song Live album recorded London, England 1982.
At the end of the album, the crowd is singing, "HOWAY THE LADS, HOWAY THE LADS, HOWAY THE LADS, HOWAY" and the band came back out to play with them while they sang it. What does Howay the Lads mean? I am assuming good job, maybe?
