WHO AM I. QUIZ

A place to chat about anything thats not football related. Most of the threads in here are completely pointless which is why people keep coming back and back. As the forum title suggests, feel free to make any post you want on any subject you wish. It also has Adult jokes (so be warned) which is the other reason people keep coming back.

I'll participate in one attempt, sure Mark or whoever, won't take any offense :

1 I hold a unique award

2 I am one of a many, that are the last line of defense

3 My greatest moment occured at a time when this club was well recognized

4 I was involved in an event that captivated one of the greatest shots (photo) of soccer history

Yeah, I know, goalkeeper, that's why I said Banks originally. Then I thought, you are American, you use the word "line", so maybe it's a back four guy! Apologies.

I will need another clue, but maybe Wolfie will get it without one.

this is monkeyyyboys answer.

1......David Seaman . let in the first ever San Marino goal scored in a World Cup qualifier.
2......Won the double with Arsenal.
Nayim lobbed him from 30 miles out in the cup winners cup 1995

in truth, I have no idea at all. I think we need a big clue.

I'll provide a couple more pointers that should put an end to it. Yes it is a goalkeeper.

# 5 I share similar honors with Shilton and Schmichael

# 6 Some would say I'm an extinct player

Yes it was Zoff (Italian World Cup winner 1982)

Here are the clues explained

# 1 Oldest winner of a World Cup medal (40)

# 2 Goalkeepers are the last line of defense

# 3 1982

# 4 World Cup Final, Marco Tardelli Goal

# 5 Shilton was also 40 and played at the World Cup Finals (1990), Scmichael was also captain as goalkeeper to win one of soccers biggest prizes

# 6 Dinosaurs are now extinct

The last clue unfortunately gave it away

Yeah, it was only the dinosaur reference that got it for me. I'm a tad busy at the second, so please continue without me. I'll put one up as soon as time allows

You got two hair colors ? That is all from the same shot isn't it ?

I don't have a definitive answer as to who this is. Thought once or twice Owen Coyle but the top would suggest 1970s ? Therefore too premature for the name in question? Probably incorrect, but any response is better than none.

The picture, top right with the eye and nose, makes me think of Kenny Dalglish, but other than that, no idea.

No not Kenny Dalglish.

CLUE ONE

CLUE TWO
His Christian and shortened first name would make you think he was Irish but he's not.

This is embarrassing as I got Celtic as a favorite Scots side, could probably name you the line-up that took the 1967 European Cup..

Billy McNeil maybe.

It could be someone from Manchester Uniteds 1968 Cup side. The top color would suggest it.

Worth a shot, but Paddy Crerand ? The Irish name thing and all that ? Probably incorrect but you got to attempt if you wish to succeed.

That was a surprise for sure, but in any event, here's one more to attempt :

# 1 I was born in Baltimore, Maryland

# 2 I am more associated with elsewhere

# 3 I reached legendary status

# 4 I am to my sport, what Ali was to Boxing

# 5 I did not have a priviledged upbringing

# 6 I can be associated with a particular color

good luck
