WHO AM I. QUIZ

A place to chat about anything thats not football related. Most of the threads in here are completely pointless which is why people keep coming back and back. As the forum title suggests, feel free to make any post you want on any subject you wish. It also has Adult jokes (so be warned) which is the other reason people keep coming back.

Don't know how you did it but that is the right answer

#1 I have featured for the World Wrestling Federation

Was involved in the Shawn Michaels / Steve Austin title event of Wrestlemania '98, has appeared in subsequent programming

#2 Games manufacturers have produced merchandise in my name

Tyson was a name often assocaited with different games companies at the time of his rise to greatness

#3 I share one character trait with Luis Suarez

Inflicting injury on an opponent through biting

#4 I have appeared in the main event of two different sporting industries

Wrestlemania '98, World Heavyweight Championship for Boxing

#5 I was for a time, the absolute best my respective sport could offer

Tyson was the undisputed best for some time at the height of his career

#6 I was involved in some serious allegations for a time

The Desiree Washington scandal

#7 I suffered at least one humiliation

James Buster Douglas and his win

#8 My best years are arguably behind me

Needs no explanation

#9 I have a nickname

Iron Mike, The Baddest Man on the Planet

#10 1997 and 1998 were very busy years for me

Evander Holyfield incident, Wrestlemania 14

#11 It was a bad idea to go inside my nations capital

Desiree Washington rape incident

#12 I am the Michael Madsen of my sporting industry

Severing the ears of other people

#13 I could be loosely associated with a Clint Eastwood film release

The Enforcer

#14 I can be most associated with New York and Las Vegas

Tyson is from Brooklyn, has had many memorable fights in the other

#15 I have been involved in more than one embarrassment

Douglas once again, having to fight Frank Bruno twice being another

Like how you had a wee dig at Big Frank at the end there. No worries, but I LOVE Frank Bruno. Was a massive fan during his career and he's an all round entertaining guy. If only he could've moved up just one more gear in the second round of the first Tyson fight; he would've won.

New question and new clues;

I was born in 1960

I would've been a big favourite of a Countdown host

I would have to say "Morton" is very close to me

I have a place in history with one moment of pure magic.

Houchen would be about the right age although did consider other names before realizing they couldn't possibly be from the place mentioned.

Didn't fully comprehend the countdown bit or reference to elephant on shirt (unless this character was sat on by Jan Molby at some stage of their career)

Will give it some thought and get back another time if it hasn't gone by then.

Bang on it, Wolferino! Nice one.

Answer was Keith Morton Houchen.

Played for Hartlepool at the beginning and the end of his career..... Jeff must've loved him.

And he scored that goal for Coventry City in the 87 final. Even though my youngest son wasn't born until 94, that true Gunner loves Houchens 87 goal! :D

He also received cult adoration at Easter Road. He wasn't the best player on the ball, but my God he could read a game better than anyone...... Always in great positions and losing his marker. Great memories.

Your go Mr Wolf.

interesting bit in Wiki " He grew up with three brothers; Jimmy, Dennis, and Patrick, who all joined the Coldstream Guards; " so all 4 brothers played at Wembley...

Haha! Looks like they all did!......, You think Keith enjoyed his moment more though.

"Super Keith fi Leith" was a good song for Houchy......., until Keith Wright came along...., who really is from Leith! :D

The answer to your question......., my dad used to say it when talking about Angela Lansburys "Murder, She Wrote"........, he used to say "--- ---, She Wrote"

He meant 'Red Herring' i.e. something included that is intended to deviate away from the actual answer or relevant subject.

That was a poor attempt at humor, knew damn well all along it was Red Rum

You want another round.., very well we'll play along one more time

#1 I was one of the most gifted players of my generation

#2 I was part of a great team that didn't win the ultimate honor they so much deserved

#3 I have played in a European final

#4 I was not afraid to participate in some gambling

#5 I met a tragic end in unusual circumstances
