Pubs in Ipswich

Post by bluehawk » Fri May 01, 2015 12:29 pm

I can't go to Blackburn due to early evening commitments, but don't want to sit at home and watch it whilst being asked a thousand questions by the kids, however I can get to Ipswich and back home in time to watch it in the pub where hopefully the atmosphere will be good.
Apart from the Drum and Monkey which is lively can anyone recommend where else is likely to be.
Thanks

Riverside Hotel
Punch And Judy Bar
Degeros Bar
The Curve
The Lord Nelson

All these are are in close proximity to the Town center but don't know if all will be featuring the game / have big screen availability.

Personally, I can recommend McGinty's on the corner of St. Margaret's Street and Northgate Street, which has a good outdoor area out the back with a big screen. The c*ck and Pye is also supposed to be very good for live sport... I'm 'looking forward' to watching tomorrow's game in the company of the large community of ITFC exiles in London!

I worked in that place about 30 years ago, when the bar was on the other side of the room.

Do people say, "fancy going to the c*ck for a drink?"
