The ball was a weighted, quite slow, chip into the box........, two defenders with their finger up their arse. But Tommy needs to be stronger.

Scum were literally picking up our players and throwing them down all afternoon. Blatant fouling, and the ref did sod all. He was their 12th man.

At least Mick had the decency to admit it was not a foul. Can think of plenty of managers who would have complained about it.

I wasnt relating to the slip by Smith, butbthe more 90mins of man handling the scum defence operated on Sears and especially Murphy. It was also notable the scum changed tactics late in second half with blatant no holds barred fouls. The ref , IMO was weak. Does anyone know who the ref is for the next game?

Think it will be announced tomorrow.

Yep he had another great game today at Preston.
Mind you I did warn my mate who supports Chesterfield that they wouldn't get anything as he thinks that any team playing in blue is ITFC.

Have to say that I don't quite agree with some of the views on this thread. I'm with MM, it was a blood & thunder game and both teams were 'committed in the tackle'. Maybe one or two more challenges could have deserved a booking but the ref kept the game flowing and the spectacle was all the better for it IMO.
I didn't feel that his decisions were biased either. D'Urso will do well to perform as well next weekend.

Apparently the ref for Saturday is James Linington.
This season he has been the ref for our games against Forest away, Boro and Blackpool at home.

Apparently it has now changed and Roger East is the ref (lets hope he is not as biased as Look East) and Linington is the 4th official.

Was he not the Ref who wrongly sent off Wes Brown for Sunderland against Man Utd .
Lets hope he has improved .
