Re: WHO AM I. QUIZ
May as well have another attempt while we're stopping by
Would say Ray Wilkins as he's scored in a Cup final but don't think he ever participated in a European final and the years seem questionable
All you need do is find an FA Cup Final scorer from the years mentioned and match it with the other clues and there are obvious names to rule out such as Alan Taylor, Osborne, Brooking, Whiteside, Keegan etc but nothing really stands out.
To hell with it we'll go with Wilkins, it was the best we could find right now.

Re: WHO AM I. QUIZ
Didn't think I'd get that so quick. Had saints idea of thinking back to FA Cup scorers.
Ok.
1. I was born in 1962
2. I played for my city of birth as a youth as a forward.
3. My city of birth was also my first professional club.
4. I played 96 times before heading to my second club.
5. I played at this South Coast club the longest, before my third club.
6. My third club was another south Coast club.
7. I played one time for the England under 21's, and scored one goal.
Hope that's not too many clues.

Re: WHO AM I. QUIZ
Going to be quick with this but would imagine by way of clues it's someone who featured for Portsmouth / Southampton (or both)
It's not Le Tissier as born in Guernsey and St Peter Port doesn't have a team you would imagine and the birthyear would rule him out so taking a shot with Barry Horne. Age is about right and may have featured for Bournemouth / Brighton at some stage in his early career. If not that we'll try again another time

Re: WHO AM I. QUIZ
The famous managers quote stirred the very depths of my brain and I had read that before either in a Bobby Robson book or an ITFC history book. The standing ovation was indeed from ITFC supporters after than one game, can't remember the opposition but it was a crucial game to either keep the championship race alive, or to save relegation. ........ Could it be John Jackson?
