Never saw it coming. Was expecting a one, two goal victory and nothing more. Shame we couldn't keep a clean sheet but the attacking prowess at the opposite end more than compensates. Why couldn't they damn well do this before instead of all those lackluster and disappointing scores in previous games ? Never quite know what to expect with this side on any given weekend but this will be a significant boost for morale, particularly for Murphy who has endured a very dry spell this season after his previous heroics.

Keep in mind we played the bottom placed team today but once again to register a five goal haul on opposition soil is a fine achievement. All we ask is keep this up, keep any hope of another play-off opportunity within sight, and just maybe it will be enough to once again be involved in the top six lottery by end of season. Someone's obviously had a rocket up their as* since the Blackburn defeat and the team has responded in the desired manner so please, no further errors and let's get this damn season back on track.

Really loving the positiveness, but is there any room at all for just a wee bit negativeness? Still not seen the goals yet, but can we maybe say, "Gerken, you useless bstd on the two Rotherham goals!" ? ......., "FFS Mick, get the goalies sorted!" ....... Stuff like that? :D

Failing that ^^^, who'd like to lick my bumholio?

I don't blame you after last season's result... after all it's a very long trip from Ipswich to an absolute dump of a town.

When I woke this morning I didn't actually feel I was missing anything...... well not until I switched Sky Sports on soon after 4pm your time only to find we were 0-4 up !!!!

I was listening to it on radio suffolk and alex Mathie said at 4-0 we not going to lose this then we conceded 2 goals I thought about the Derby game too, but we held on with Murphy getting his hat trick .

Can't blame Pickles for either goal, the back four maybe, for giving Barker, and particularly Derbyshire time and space.

Was it a question we were that good yesterday or are Rotherham just a really poor side?
Having a quick read on some of their forums this morning what seems to have upset their fans the most is that they conceded 5 goals to a mediocre Championship side.
How is this for starters regarding negativeness?

Maybe, but then on a positive note it means the likes of Bishop, Varney and Hyam will be that much closer to a return.

Is that a positive thing, Hallam? That might be like putting petrol into a Diesel engine.

Did anyone see the incident with MM before and after the 5th goal?
According to radio Suffolk someone in the home crowd threw the ball back and it hit MM on the back of the head. Moments later Murthy gets his hat trick and MM turns rounds round, smiles at the crowd and rubs the back of his head - classic McCarthy!
Great win and well done to the 1,019 - you deserved it.

And Marko are you trying to pour petrol onto a smouldering forum :)

Trying to get folks to do a 'Rossi' and get some conflicting arguments going ... and unleash the Blue Mike ' rottweiler'.

Smart man... have to admit Rossi will be missed because he says what he feels.

Definitely not, Tang......, I don't stir up Shyte! :D

No, basically was meaning, 2-0 v Bolton, and 5-2 v Rothershitham....., could be ticking over nicely just now......, Hyam may need to wait a while longer with world class stars like Douglas are in the starting XI !! :D

Yeah i saw that but didn't see his reponse to it. The Ipswich fans were laughing at it too tbh.
