You'll need to be more specific, Hallam. You've added the majority of footballers into the equation.

The bit that really worries me is this paragraph..........................................
"The 24-year-old is back playing after missing most of the second half of last season following preventive heart surgery last February."

He would be a good signing, better than Hobbs and Olsson for sure.

Or was he at Hobbs End tube station helping Quatermass sort that alien ship out

I agree about Olsson, and possibly Hobbs, but I am just concerned about his "heart problems" but I guess that'll show up on any medical and the Town Doc would be fully informed as well.
Just me being an old worry wart!

Stop worrying, Hallam. I'm sure he'll be well instructed to get himself to the early morning drop in between 8 + 9am on match day!

He wouldn't be allowed to play without a clean bill of health

MM and Chris Hughton are close friends - unlikely that CH would sanction the move if there were significant risks or doubts regarding the player's fitness. But, given recent injuries curse, can appreciate concerns. Don't think he'd be arriving if not ready to train hard, and be a potential first team starter. Will hopefully prove an astiute loan signing - assuming it does happen. Will it be the only bit of business before tomorrow's deadline?

So I ask the question why don't BHA keep him and play him?

HAllam: So I ask the question why don't BHA keep him and play him?
Possibly because he's sh*t ... or maybe he needs games at a lower level, just like Josh Emanuell does, to progress his career.
We don't need a Premier League CB - just one who can cope at Championship level. As long as his heart holds out till Chambo, Smith and Webster get back - then he should be good cover.
I wonder what song he will have to sing for his induction - " Don't go breaking my heart' or 'Heart of Glass" . I'm sure the docs will monitor his heart and he'll be good to go.
Hughton's a good pal of Mick's and he won't give us sick note players ... just like his pal Warnock at Cardiff won't flog us sicknotes ... hmmmm...

With the player apparently at PR to complete medical etc, the deal is now in peril. The defender Brighton were hoping to bring in on loan from Club Brugge may not now be arriving there. Many a slip 'twixt cup and lip!
However, we do have other targets - Shakell from Debby allegedly being one of them. Obviously hope we don't end up grabbing 'just someone' prior to he final deadline.
(As pointed out by KL Blue^^^)

Brighton have just signed a sporting Lisbon defender, so Goldson could be here soon, Cross fingers, toes, and all other twiddle bits

Don't twist your balls, Ash. That's painful sh*t that requires surgery.

to be honest Marko, I'm looking forward to seeing him.
I'm not annoyed, a bit disappointed its not the "experienced" defender I think we need at the moment.
But he's got to have something about him. Or Mick wouldn't have signed him
