Re: LEAGUE CUP
I suppose one good thing about the draw being separated into North and South teams is that it eliminates long journeys for travelling fans.

Re: LEAGUE CUP
Few years ago drove to St. Ives in Cornwall. Got to Exeter and the sign said another 88 miles to go! Cornwall goes on forever!! Good job you guys can stop in Exeter!
Not asking for much, but want some silverware at PR 18/19. League Cup is probably the only chance due to others not really caring that much. Thirsty for Hursty to deliver.

Went when we played there in 2010 and was bloody glad that we stayed overnight especially when it went into extra time.
Will give it a miss this time.

Re: LEAGUE CUP
It's not even labeled the League Cup, they provide it with a different name year in year out. Maybe have to go back to the early 1980's when it was (last) in it's simplest terms. Subsequent years you've had Milk, Littlewoods, Coca-Cola, Worthington, Caribou : too many too mention. Don't even know this years winners or the teams involved. Lost interest some years back, surprised to an extent it's still in existence.
In any event the trip we have been provided shouldn't present too many difficulties. Maybe staged early August for the earliest rounds, possibly before the next league season is even underway. Hurst should field a strong team, show respect for the opposition and give it our best shot. That's all anyone would ask.
In all years of support for the club have never yet seen a Town side in a Final event, last four eliminations by Liverpool, Norwich, Birmingham, Arsenal etc : something fans may always wanted to see included to the honors list. Would sit well with our other achievements, many would accept or insist.

Re: LEAGUE CUP
Answer to Question......Former Northern Ireland manager Billy Bingham, international team-mates Derek Dougan, Peter McParland, Harry Gregg, Gerry Armstrong and Denis Law were the first to carry the coffin to the base of the Stormont steps.
