THE DON CUP 2019/20
Hi guys, off on my hols this morning to sunny Sicily for a few weeks. The new season will be upon us a few days before I’m back so thought I’d better get this done before leaving.
Current holder, DERICK_IPSW name has been engraved onto THE DON CUP trophy for the 2nd time, (first player to do this is its short 5yr history.) There is a good photograph of this which can hopefully be displayed in this thread at a later date.
There is a slight change to the rules for next season which is quite easy, and hopefully participants stick too it so that the judges can score accordingly.
Basically, you can submit as many as you want as always but only two of your entries will be scored. So all we ask is you nominate what you think are your best two.
Caption 1: .....
Caption 2: .....
Those two only will be considered for the 5,4,3 or 2 points available. So it might be wise to give it a bit of thought before submitting. Having said that, the funniest stuff is usually what comes to mind instantly without any thought!
As always 1 point for entering.
Only the weekend league fixtures will be used for the caption competition. No midweek games. Usually there are two pics for the Norwich games but as thats not happening for a while, the two picture week will be around Xmas / New Year time.
To Frosty, you’re email address didn’t seem to work when I fired the photo over so if you’ve got another addy, Pm that if you can and I’ll resend. Again, computer retard here and can’t seem to attach the photo to any form on the site.
The Burton caption pic will be added to the first match preview as always.
Cheers guys, have a great summer.

I don't think Frosty is going to help on this one. If anybody else had won it it would of been sorted by now. I would like to see the photo Marko.

Re: THE DON CUP 2019/20
Hi there, yes I’m quite excited about getting that photo onto the thread, it’s a good one.
Long story short, firstly the emails were being pinged back to me, but hopefully that’s sorted. Frosty would like the photo as an attachment but it’s being sent from the iPhone on holiday. It’ll work, but whether it can be transferred is another question. If not, the Mrs can hopefully do it from the laptop when I’m back on August 4th....... she’s the computer genius.
For now though Deeko, pm me a working email address for you and I’ll fire over the picture along with a picturesque view from my balcony on holiday here in Godfather country! Make you jealous, although I don’t doubt Chester is the absolute dugs baws!!

Re: THE DON CUP 2019/20
And there is a small story to that recent engraving. I handed the trophy in with a slip of paper saying “DERICKIPSW” on it, and said to the guy, “There you go mate, and it’s a previous winner so should be Nae bother, cheers!” ... and left the shop.
Went back on the Friday to collect.
The guy: “Aye, I tried to phone you buddy. On your piece of paper it says DerickIpsw with no hyphen. But it’s got a hyphen on the cup?”
I understand engravings need to be correct, but holy fk, this guy was on the ball.
Coffee shop a few doors along though so had cappuccino and croissants while waiting the 45 minutes for it.
