No crowds
No crowds at matches at the moment says Michael Howard and the way it's going it's not looking good, I fear many small clubs will go under.

Re: No crowds
Can’t believe this sh*t. Not just for football crowds, I mean for our lives in general.
To be honest, football is probably bottom of my own personal priority pile.,,... job / business is way out on top as it’s being f**king screwed. As is everybody’s.
Already had two people since YESTERDAY afternoon cancel a large bathroom upgrade and a boiler replacement.

Its really difficult times marko isn't it. Im sorry to hear this for you personally . TBH I cant see how we can avoid a second lockdown . Think the Gov had a Cobra meeting this morning didn't they : Im at work so haven't heard outcome ….or is he going to address the nation at 8pm tonight ?
This virus is here to stay like any other virus. What we desperately need is that vaccine !

Re: No crowds
What we need is to isolate and protect the medically vulnerable and the elderly, and to let everybody else carry on with life as normal. Morons like Whitty and Vallance need to get a handle on what it's like to live in the real world, not to look at things through blinkers (after all, their jobs/incomes are not under any threat, are they?)hallamblue wrote: ↑Tue Sep 22, 2020 11:42 amIts really difficult times marko isn't it. Re: No crowds
The bit that I can’t understand, is regardless of the number of cases a ground or place is either COVID safe or not. If the measures are controlled then what’s the issue. It’s some pubs, bloody supermarkets and shops that are the biggest is problem. Was in home bargains the other day (don’t ask) and it was a bloody free for all.

Re: No crowds
Spot on rossi. I’d also say we need to stop people travelling from areas of high incidence . Difficult I know ( probably not even enforceable), but identification of those with it and containment is a major factor .rossi wrote: ↑Tue Sep 22, 2020 12:34 pmWhat we need is to isolate and protect the medically vulnerable and the elderly, and to let everybody else carry on with life as normal. Re: No crowds
It looks highly likely we’ll have no fans in grounds for the rest of the season which has only just started. The future for football below the top two tiers looks pretty bleak.Kerry Blue wrote: ↑Tue Sep 22, 2020 9:45 amNo crowds at matches at the moment says Michael Howard and the way it's going it's not looking good, I fear many small clubs will go under.

Re: No crowds
I would think there will be Championship clubs in trouble also. The problem for any club outside the Prem will be when they start reimbursing season tickets. I certainly won’t be asking for vouchers again.Charnwood wrote: ↑Tue Sep 22, 2020 11:21 pmIt looks highly likely we’ll have no fans in grounds for the rest of the season which has only just started. Re: No crowds
I'm beginning to wonder if this season will be completed, I expect the premier League will be and maybe the championship but div 1 and 2 I'm not so sure, it could be that we lose a division in time because of clubs going out of business, We are lucky to have ME but saying that he must be losing millions with the business he has, the future is not looking good at the moment.

Re: No crowds
Never thought Joey Barton would be a chief spokesman, but absolutely spot on, Joey. Couldn't have said any of it better myself. The human race is digging itself a massive hole and it'll take YEARS to get out of it. Its all FKD.

Re: No crowds
I think you’re spot on KB. I too have serious doubts that this season will be completed for the same reasons last season didn’t . Doubt Town will get the “ luck” of Wycombe Wanderers .Kerry Blue wrote: ↑Wed Sep 23, 2020 4:13 pmI'm beginning to wonder if this season will be completed, I expect the premier League will be and maybe the championship but div 1 and 2 I'm not so sure, it could be that we lose a division in time because of clubs going out of business, We are lucky to have ME but saying that he must be losing millions with the business he has, the future is not looking good at the moment.

Re: No crowds
Well all I shall say is football is a sorry state. And the PL is doing sod all to help out .
For instance Just ONE WEEKS wages from Gareth Bale (£600k) could solve the insolvency problems facing EFL clubs in leagues 1&2 for the next 3 seasons.

Re: No crowds
I think all of the Prem clubs should be required to relinquish a percentage of their worth to help out the lower leagues. I know 'require' sounds a bit draconian, but would any of those c*cks do it voluntarily? And as you say Hallam, it wouldn't take much to sustain the lower leagues.marko69 wrote: ↑Wed Sep 23, 2020 5:21 pmWHIT? That can't be correct?? Surely? So let's end the season now. Work out final positions on average points per game.
