Only one of the words is significant i'm afraid to say. That word is linked to the history of where this club plays.
As a further clue, this club has a particularly strong link with Ipswich Town, though the man in question never played for either club!

Re: What three words represent this football club?
I’m backing Frosty with his Sunderland pick, they’re definitely broke, historical shipyard Industry, just not sure where forward fits. Ipswich connection Roy Keane and Mick McCarthy. It has to be, well done Frosty

Not Plymouth or Sunderland. I’d give you another clue, but that might be TMi.

Re: What three words represent this football club?
Is it Aberdeen or something. It's a port, you got ships there and the Town connection being we played them in the UEFA Cup many years back.
Don't know what's on the club emblem, not going to cheat to find out like to play it fair, but think they changed it in the last few years. Guess one of the words listed is on it. Let's cut it short it's either the right answer or isn't.

Re: What three words represent this football club?
Hibernian FC
Wallace Mercer, dead and six feet under? Total FKN BSTD of a man. If you're ever completely bored and wish to read about the "merger" plan, ....., was never a merger plan. Was a "take over and close" plan. Almost caused an Edinburgh civil war back in 89. But the cabbage prevailed thanks to Sir Tom Farmer.

Just do not get this at all. But i am obviously not alone......., charnwood is congratulating Frosty on a wrong answer! I wouldn't have got Hibs until maybe March 2021.

Well done! Yes I think the competition really needs clues, but I am enjoying the research. I don’t think it’s cheating at all to use the internet as a tool. I’ve downloaded the App and like AZ MARK I try to click on a square that has some relevance, but as said clues are also needed.
