That is absolute class from you, KL, thanks very much. Must say all the Jambos I know have been very supportive....., only a selected few bellends who always talk wind & pish have once again let themselves down, a few family members included.
But kudos to yourself and Wolfie; the only ITFC forum members who have actually spoke about the football that was played...... The important stuff. Cheers

Re: To Marco, from the Mol.
Watch this guy break down in tears in a German pub, ........, this is what the vast majority of Hibs fans were doing from 4:45pm - 6pm on Saturday 21/5/2016. The "fans" heading towards the West Stand obviously are not fans....... You don't win a trophy that's alluded you for 114 years, and suffered countless songs (that are now obsolete) and then the first thing you want to do is fight......, they are not fans, and they'll be caught.
This guy is now a Hibs legend. Was at that "place" with him.

Bloody hell Marko, never seen such an in depth post from you, as Ash says good to hear a completely different version of events and apologies for jumping to conclusions on the back of the gutter press reports. Now f*ck off.

Definitely need both the ITFC & the Hibs back up. If the "penalty that never was" hadve been given in the 1st leg play off, there may have been that Maryhill trip next season. Not to be though. Second prize became first prize on so many levels though so no complaints.
Spot on JayKay. Sort of found out how Shed on Tour must feel after Euros or World Cups and England "bother". The very small minority out to cause trouble amongst the huge travelling England support are the main focus on the tv screens and tabloid rags. Especially here in Scotland. People who actually attend football matches regularly should know full well that it's so easy for the "spin" to start amongst the commercial press. I would bet over half of the adult population of Scotland think English football fans, all of you, are complete tw@ts. But it's just not true. Almost all of you are decent, with the select few bring tw@ts. It must make Shed's blood boil when he reads stuff about the England support.jaykay wrote:well chuffered for you marko.i wouldnt post anything about the scenes after the game, until we heard from someone who was there.because we all know what the press is like.how people believe what they write is beyond me.you only have to look at events they reported on in english football,to see what utter low life, own these newspapers.

And you are correct JayKay, the penalty shootout and the Last minute winner....... But let's not forget being 2-0 down at Shitecastle with 11 minutes to play in the 4th round. It's that game (and replay) that makes it so much better!

Going to take Mikes advice about the offing of Fk, but must wait until dates are released regarding certain celebration & promo days at Easter Rd. Flights are getting too expensive to be fannying about between here and Italy....... And the computer (wife) says "noooo!"

As an extra, can't leave this without a mention of the other side of Edinburgh (a sort of double-celebration for Hibs fans if you will) as it now 30 years since the extraordinary events of the last day of the SPL season where Heart of Midlothian had perhaps their worst afternoon in club history and somehow threw away the league championship when it was all there for the taking.
For those not of an age to remember, the last day of the 1985 / 86 season saw Heart of Midlothian only needing a draw at Dundee to win the championship while Celtic needed a big score at St Mirren to have a chance of overtaking. A player named Albert Kidd (hitherto largely unrecognized) got two goals in the closing minutes for Dundee to provide legendary status within Scottish soccer, while Celtic had a 5 - 0 win in their respective game to somehow win the title on goal difference.
Perhaps the most famous finish in SPL records and what with Hibernian having a trophy win, feel these two accomplishments deserve a place with each other. Got no reason to offer further accolades on the Easter Road's team success, only to add one more time, congratulations on the achievement and sorry it didn't arrive sooner for the long suffering supporters. Guess you'll be in Europe with this once again so do yourselves proud and provide further recognition for the club side.
As the clip provided suggests, "one for the Hibs fans"

Really enjoyed reading this thread....all what it is all about and why I love football.I watched the goals and press post match.
From delight to sadness and delight to equalizing to delirium of the winner.
Marco...After endless years of falling in a barrel of tits and come out sucking your thumb you have only gone and done it and it's a beauty.
Enjoy Italy.

Re: To Marco, from the Mol.
Absolutely, BluePeter. It's what all living Hibs supporters have dreamt about our entire lives......, for it to actually happen like a script straight from our dreams, (last minute winner) makes it so much sweeter.
To hear that well over 50% of the Jambofkrs songbook is now obsolete is absolutely fantastic. But with us being in the championship, providing we don't meet in cups, they have over a year to make up new Shyte.
To add to your post, Saint. The 85/86 season, the Jambos were sponsored by "MITA". The next again week after "Sir Albert Kidd", they were pumped 3-0 in the Scottish Cup Final by Aberdeen. It became known as the week the Jambos MITA won the league, and MITA won the cup, but they won fk all.

Really pleased for you mate. Being an oldie I know how I felt when I was lucky enough to be at Wembley in 78 to see Town win the FA Cup and the memories from that day will be with me for the rest of my life and no doubt it will be the same for you after last Saturday.
As for the press reports regarding what happened after the game, as you have said I have got used to this sort of thing when following England away. Yes there are still a minority of idiots who follow England away, especially to what we call the easy jet destinations, but the vast majority go just to have a good time. However, the gutter press aren't interested in that but just waiting for the opportunity to report any trouble which may involve England fans. No doubt they are already rubbing their hands of the thought that there maybe a repeat of 98 in Marseille next month or a running battle between the English and Welsh fans in Lens.
Enjoy your holiday mate, I will be in France seeing England win the Euro's
. See I've started on the booze already!!!!

The Sun, Hillsborough - enough said regarding some elements of the media's delight in reporting garbage, without any regard to the facts.
It was a 'dreams are of made of' result, which must help ease the pain of all the empty or 'nearly' years! No feeling quite like it, to be enjoyed to the max.
Was in Leicester over the weekend. The whole place is still buzzing, with shops, houses, city streets all doing their bit. It unites and lifts the whole show - not to mention the loot that will flow. When we return to the PL it will be exactly the same here!:D

Re: To Marco, from the Mol.
Leicester must be on another planet with what they achieved.
We been driving around with scarves spread on the dash since yesterday, (legally allowed to drive yesterday!) ......, it's beeps and fist pumps all round to similar green clad vehicles.
Difference is, we share a city with the knuckle draggers, ......, and we get the "middle finger, go fk yourselves" salute too!
......, those ones are so much more satisfying.
GIRUY's.........
It's been 54 years since the Jambos won the Scottish League Cup!

This is in fact correct, me of all people should realise it seeing as I get the same thing after nearly every town game from goons who decide Town were crap but haven't actually seen the match but think they know it all by press reports and 10 seconds of highlights.jaykay wrote:well chuffered for you marko.i wouldnt post anything about the scenes after the game, until we heard from someone who was there.because we all know what the press is like.how people believe what they write is beyond me.you only have to look at events they reported on in english football,to see what utter low life, own these newspapers.

Re: To Marco, from the Mol.
Correct to a point. But not so correct in other ways. This thread for example has spoken very little of "football" but about stupid c**ts running on a field at close of play to square up. The conversations have been born out of biased Glasgow footage. Opinions have been concluded, not just on here, but everywhere by Rangers fans the world over.bluemike wrote:This is in fact correct, me of all people should realise it seeing as I get the same thing after nearly every town game from goons who decide Town were crap but haven't actually seen the match but think they know it all by press reports and 10 seconds of highlights.
The reporting from an actual game of football, shouldn't really need to be biased to a point where they print untruths. I mean why the fk would they? You telling me there is some immature Norwich City pr*ck reporting to me that Ipswich were poor one particular day when in reality, they were decent? That's school boy stuff. One thing that I've noticed amongst all the BS is that no one has reported that Rangers should've won, and respect to them for that.
I suppose I'll always take ANY press report with a pinch of salt, ....., fans reports like yourself, MPB, and selected Hibs fans, (when I can't make it) are usually the true account of events......., but I do like to think that the 90 minutes of football is reported relatively accurately.

Re: To Marco, from the Mol.
I watched the match and have to truthfully say that the first thing I said to my eldest was that I hoped the FA Cup Final was going to be half as entertaining to watch.
I thought Rangers second goal was one of the best I have seen in some time and worthy of winning any match (which it looked like it would for a time) and that Hibs got what they deserved for their perseverance and never say die attitude.
At the end of the game I just thought, hello, there's a lot of years of emotions getting hold, and there is no way anyone's stopping that lot getting on the pitch! From what I could see on the coverage (and the TV did dwell and show a lot rather than cutting away as is their usual trick) the vast majority of fans stopped before the half way line and just looked dazed to be honest with everyone being very calm and compliant once the police had sorted themselves out. It was never going to be easy getting that many folks back in the stands quickly, but I thought the whole thing seemed good natured and well handled by both sides once everyone had got over the initial consternation that it had happened.
Like you say Marko, you can't legislate for the odd nutter, but the only thing I will take from the day is watching a cracking good game.

Obviously it was far from "All Hibs fans", more like a mindless few but the fact remains there are still ots of reports out there of Rangers players being attacked, not to mention photos and video evidence to support this. Marko, is this as innocuous as you hope it is ? A genuine question by the way as I realise it is a very sensitive subject.

Re: To Marco, from the Mol.
Obviously keeping close eye on developments on all Hibs sites and SFA sites........, there is plenty of footage of fans squaring up, the Hibs ersehole element were wanting to goad, Cream Buns came on the field and wanted to fight, so fair enough....., handbags all round, although one completely innocent lad got his head kicked by some Rangers pr*ck from Northern Ireland. That's quite disturbing. The lad ended up in hospital with swelling in the head. Looked like he was taking photos on his mobile of the Hibs crowd from the halfway line and this tw@t booted him. 'Tis very annoying.
The only player to be "assaulted" (pushed) caught on video was Foderingham. (goalkeeper). According to a cousin, that guy who pushed Foderingham is now known to Hibs and he'll get dealt with accordingly. Life time ban if it was me who was in charge. Fkn absolute bellend of a bloke. I'd actually like to sit him down and ask him......, "You do realise what the club have just done? Do you realise the magnitude of this? Is there a brain in your head?"
Something else that's being investigated is Hibs defender (ex Ranger) Darren MacGregor being kicked by a Rangers official wearing the blazer etc. Macgregor left them not on the best of terms, but apparently Andy Walker saw him booting him up the erse! LOL. Not funny I know, but no wonder we have the "Only an Excuse" football spoof programme up here every New Year. The stuff some people get up to is bloody hilarious.

Re: To Marco, from the Mol.
No offense but believe I have not heard that chant before. Very vociferous crowd amid a sea of humanity and must have been an event for the ages for the winning team.
One final word on this issue and with regards the scenes of poor behavior at the end of game from sections of the support, how did Leicester fans react the moment they won the league recently at whatever venue it occurred. Their success outweighs by a great distance what Hibernian did at Hampden Park but don't recall any news of riots, opposition fans coming under attack and general sub-standard behavior, following their recent achievement.
Ok it's two different leagues, two different countries, but not that far separated, and felt it warranted the question.

Religion & Erseholes, Saint.
Again, as a Celtic fan, I thought you'd have known that. Remember, we were the original "Fenian bastards". A whole 13 years before the Sellick arrived. A large amount of SevCo hate the cabbage more. And after last Saturday, even more
And regarding "enormity". You nailed it on the head with different country. It's all relative.

Re: To Marco, from the Mol.
You'd need to have Delia make a take over attempt on ITFC. The Proclaimers (Hibs fans) wrote that in 89/90 after the attempted Mercer take over. A huge time in the clubs history and the song is actually a huge thank you for our survival. Grown men cry floods of tears at normal games, never mind a cup final.
But screw a take over bid........, get writing a song!
