I know they like to record stats on everything nowadays but bloody hell this is ridiculous.

Interesting that we also hold the record for the most number of forward passes. That shows that we are more positive going forward than anyone else. Interesting.........

Doesn't seem to be the most scientific study - I'm not sure how 'Long Balls' are differentiated from 'Launches'... Our tactics seem to be working atm anyway!

What a complete load of nonsense.

I saw a number of very good 'long balls' last night watching Real, Liverpool. Defensive splitting 'long balls'.

Some folks need to get a life and just watch the game for the enjoyment of it, how we ever survived in the good old days not knowing these interesting facts I will never know

Yeah, I wouldn't read anything in to that! But even if the stats are accurate and it is intended to show who hoofs the ball most, it doesn't even do that. It should be the team with the highest %age of their forward balls being 'hoofs', not with the highest outright. If anything, those stats just show that our games are the most end to end, so those stats actually flatter us.

Our 'hoofiness' seems to be pretty average if you look at %age of forward balls being long balls.
