LOL Floors.
Alex Neil,....., very much a positive winning attitude, and he seems an ok lad. After Hibs first leg 2-0 playoff win at New Douglas Park, he said, "We shall just need to go to Easter Road and win!" ..... Which he did.
Norwich City will be completely different though. Big challenge for him, but I reckon he could thrive knowing his attitude.

Re: new nodge manager?
I really cant believe their board are going to take yet another massive massive gamble on a guy who is plying his trade in the poorest of divisions in European football, it beggars belief to me if I am honest and this if true has to be a huge anti climax for Norwich fans, of course not many will admit though.
This is a massive job for most people to take on but for this guy it is light years away from pitting your wits against the likes of Partick Thistle, St. Mirren, Ross County and the like, clearly I dont know him that well even though I do follow Scottish Football very closely and he could well be a star in the making but man what a risk at a time when they don't really have a lot of time to take more risks.

I really don't give a sh*t who Norwich appoint as their new manager and I'm surprised the subject is worthy of it's own thread before an appointment is even made.

Its a rival club. I think youll find
It a common trait on most forums of all rival clubs - not just Ipswich. If u dont believe me go and have a gander at a few. Bloody hell even the EADT are printing articles about the activities at ncfc!

Can't speak for all clubs fans up and down the country, Charnwood, but as far as rivals go, that's all I want to read about. Hibernian news first, then instantly I need to read what those Jambofkrs are up to. I would've thought that the ardent ITFC supporter would want to know what the budgies are up to, even more so when they share the same league.
It's said quite a bit on here, "Don't care about those fkrs up the road, couldn't care less" etc etc etc......, I find that extremely difficult to believe.

Marko forget this issue with Charnwood for a minute.
Whats your view on this Alex Neil as manager? : Massive step up in level Id say, and he better hit the ground running .
He's also not a lot older than a lot of the scum squad. Player power issues to contend with or is this justy number 30 and counting ref managers at carrott rooood?

Re: new nodge manager?
What Bluemike said is spot on, Hallam. May be out of his depth. But then could be another Howe at Bournemouth.
For the record, when all is said and done, for all intents and purposes, LOOK......., The SPL is absolute Shyte without Hibs in it!!! HA!
Going to quit it with that sh*t now, at the end of the day, it ain't funny.

Hey Liz, I can honestly say I've never been on any footie fans forum other than for Town Fans (& football junkies), and despite your offer I'm unlikely to in the future. I lived in Norwich for a while and even then I still wasn't even remotely interested in what their fans were saying or discussing.
As far as Norwich City are concerned I guess I'll be happy to make an odd comment on their new managerial appointment when they make one, maybe admire their taste if they choose a good one, or take the p*ss if they don't, but I certainly won't be having a gander at a few of their forums as I've simply no interest in their football club whatsoever.

Will be interesting to see how he fairs tbh. He wont be familiar with the footballers /clubs in the Championship. It could work in his favour. .....or be a hindrance. Big gamble though, given as Mike states this is the one point in time when the nodge Board needs to get it right.

Well it's looking increasingly likely that City will be appointing Alex Neil as their new manager, subject to him agreeing personal terms tomorrow. Despite him obviously being an "up and coming" Manager, I've always believed that managing in The Championship is a specialised job which doesn't suit everyone. Personally I think City are taking another gamble just as they did when they appointed Neil Adams, for me they'd have been far better appointing Neil Warnock if they're so hellbent on having a manager call Neil.

Re: new nodge manager?
Yes i would agree. But considering Roberts comment on bbc news the other day it seems managers at nodge are told how to do their job, rather than being allowed to manage. So highly unlikely that they would ever secure a decent manager with proven track record. Hence the hire n fire mentality they have. Will be interesting to watch tbh ......as long as theh dont beat us in Feb of course lol!

Re: new nodge manager?
I hope the new manager does an awful job for them, and is (directly) responsible for the clubs relegation. Days of a win over Bayern Munich in Europe are part of the dim and distant past which will never be duplicated, so with any good fortune they can return to the third division sometime soon.

Dont get the feeling he's the "legend" he once was. Think he's heading rapidly toward the "juke" status.

I'm amazed he's lasted as long as he has given some of his poor decisions, wasn't he first appointed about the same time as Simon Clegg?
.... and we all know how long he lasted and how much we've improved since he left..
