Re: Rodolph Austin
I doubt very much this is true AB. Leeds turned down a £500k bid from Wigan for him as you say, so they're hardly likely to let him go out on loan until the end of the season.

Trouble is Liz you can never say never with what Mick wants, this could be a damp squib paper report, I'm not sure but I think his contract is up with Leeds in the summer ???, and Mick wants a loan with a permanent signing in the summer, we shall see, we do know that Mick has definitely got to bolster the team with a couple of decent loans, and I'm sure that ME has backed him on getting the players he wants in to push on.

Re: Rodolph Austin
According to today's Yorkshire Evening Post Austin should be in the squad this weekend and was only left out on Tuesday Night because of illness.
Surely they won't loan out one of their current squad players.

He is not Irish, so it wont happen!!ashfordblue wrote:In the sun today it looks like Mick has gone for the classy 29 year old Midfielder Rodolph Austin from Leeds on loan to bolster our chances for promotion, Leeds and Austin turned down a £500'000 move to struggling Wigan, Austin would be more prepared to come to Ipswich as we are in the top 4 of the championship, Mick hopes to agree terms and get the midfielder in as soon as possible, looks like Mick's been listening to what the fans say is needed, someone in midfield who can control the area

Apparently we were also interested in Steve but couldn't afford the six million dollars.

Re: Rodolph Austin
he's out of contract come the summer, so we're trying to get him on loan with a view to a permanent deal.
So it could be a deal could be done. but Leeds could make him see out his contract and try to get him to sign a new one

Probably follow a similar path to the Billy Sharp will-he-won't-he saga. But no smoke without ire! Would be a good addition should he join.

Ive felt for a long while....in fact ever since ge left us to return to his club for treatment, that Jonny Williams woukd be back to pull in a Town shirt.
I think Joniesta is coming back on loan!

MM has said repeatedly that he'd have him back "like a shot" were he to available again. Wait and see!hallamblue wrote:ashfordblue wrote:Trouble is Liz you can never say never with what Mick wants, this could be a damp squib paper report, I'm not sure but I think his contract is up with Leeds in the summer ???, and Mick wants a loan with a permanent signing in the summer, we shall see, we do know that Mick has definitely got to bolster the team with a couple of decent loans, and I'm sure that ME has backed him on getting the players he wants in to push on.
