I remember reading some of those comments at the time, quite an eye opener really if not totally surprising.

I remember the 2005 youth cup team well and the fabulous run and ultimate winning of it. Shane was actually whisked of to I think Leeds that night to play in the 1st team squad the next day.
I have a lot of time for Shane .he is a nice young man with a wise head on his shoulders so when he "retired" I was sad that this is how he saw the game, but as I don't doubt his word I believe him.
I'm glad hes doing well for himself as he truly deserves it.
