Re: Transfer Rumours - New Signings for Towns Premier League Squad 2024/25
Bundesliga side Stuttgart are reportedly leading the chase to sign Omari Hutchinson on loan for 2024/25.
Hutchinson made a huge impression on loan with the Blues as Town won promotion to the Premier League, winning the club’s Young Player of the Year award after netting 11 times and picking up six assists in his first senior season.
The 20-year-old Chelsea forward’s form attracted the interest of English, German and Dutch clubs and, according to the Daily Mirror, Stuttgart, currently second in the Bundesliga, are heading the race having held talks which are said to have been productive.
Town have made no secret that they’d like the Jamaica international back at Portman Road ahead of their return to the top flight, most likely on loan rather than permanently, while Dutch sides Ajax and Feyenoord are also reported to be among those interested along with other Premier League clubs.
It’s unlikely Chelsea will make any decision on Hutchinson’s future until a new manager is appointed with Blues boss Kieran McKenna one of the candidates for the role vacated by Mauricio Pochettino earlier in the week.
McKenna is currently third favourite for the job behind former Brighton boss Roberto De Zerbi and Leicester manager Enzo Maresca.

IMO he really should be trying to crack the premier league this season, if he wants to stay at Chelsea long term then he needs to prove himself a premier league player.

Absolutely agree with that . Bundesleague is good but I’m not sure it’s a good as the PL across so many clubs

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang springs to mind.
2013–2018 Borussia Dortmund - 144 games , 98 goals
2018–2022 Arsenal - 128 games , 68 goals.
Who needs school when there is google & wiki?
Side note: Overheard conv with granddaughter and son-in-law.
"Dad, these maths questions are too difficult."
"Google it, darling, busy at the moment."

Now this would be a super acquisition! I rate Almiron highly and I think he’s the sort of player we should be targeting, regardless of who our manager will be.

Can't see it, due to
A) 20m+ for a 30 year old is against the clubs substainable transfer model
B) Competion from other clubs
C) Wages, I think he is onl 100k a week,we migth push that for some players but still be a suprise
I do know Newcastle want to sell, as they need to raise funds - so not saying its not a slight possibility though.

Encouraging as it hints that the club are aiming big.

Probably a good value option but I’m not sure how good he is, he was good under Jose at spurs but not sure since?
If we were in the championship still then I’d be more up for this, maybe we should aim higher? Still he’d be a cheap option I’d think so leaves budget for other positions.

I’d just wonder is he better than Axel who can play both CB and RB and had premier league experience etc. I believe we have a year option on him to stay for the season.

No rumour but someone said Clark from Sunderland would be a good target. I’d agree with that, anyone else like him?

I've seen a link regarding us and Emile Smith Rowe on loan from Arsenal, nothing official just chat, wouldn't say no.

Re: Transfer Rumours - New Signings for Towns Premier League Squad 2024/25
Well in some ways this thread is pretty redundant since we know how our club does its business. We'll know about it when we sign someone, probably not sooner.
But of course we can dream and speculate

I’ve seen somewhere in last couple of days that we are showing an interest in Newcastle’s Almaron ( spl?)….

Re: Transfer Rumours - New Signings for Towns Premier League Squad 2024/25
Certainly looked the part when he first came on the scene but hasn’t played much Premiership football in the last 2 seasons. Some of this was down to injury and also dropped down the pecking order. With us being more restricted on how we can use the loan system in the Premiership then we are going to have to be careful who we bring in. Also, have a feeling Arsenal might be more keen on selling him rather than loan him out and it has been reported that Aston Villa are showing some interest.

Yes…….. there is a real need for the guys, (Kmck, Mash, coaches) to do their homework properly from this point, (not that they didn’t already)…… But they’ll be playing with REAL money now.
Please do look for “good” players.
No Finidi Georges please, ffs! Or dare we day it ——>> Tampishy Flapskins. Jeezo. Terrible signings.
Yeah, fk you, Roy Keane.

Chelsea have extended Omari Hutchinson's contract until 2026.
Ipswich desperate to keep Hutchinson, who is open to returning. Ipswich prefer a permanence to any move, but #CFC looking for around £25m. Loan with an obligation if Ipswich stay up is one formula that's been discussed.
Stuttgart also pushing to sign Hutchinson.

It’s a pity ( but not surprising), there ‘s another club after him. It helps push up the negotiations innChelseas favour. But ultimately it’ll come down to where Omari wants to go… and he’s already told us hasn’t he!

I really can’t wait until the manager situation is sorted, so we can pass the stein of doom and gloom for our targeted player acquisitions haha! It’ll be, do we really want that player or do we really need this player lol! We’ll be asking, does young Kieran know what he’s getting himself into!
Most importantly, we need to strengthen our back line. We know we can score goals with League One players under the tutelage of KM, but we CAN’T concede so many goals!

Funny thing is we will be able to way outbid Stutgart, i.e if it comes to that.hallamblue wrote: ↑Tue May 28, 2024 7:36 pmIt’s a pity ( but not surprising), there ‘s another club after him.
