So Hutchinson injured already and it hasn't even started yet. Sent back for medical assessment whatever that means.

Hopefully it’s just precautionary. Please don’t let it be a hamstring injury.

Well they've sent 4 home, that doesn't say much, but it slightly suggests to me that they're being cautious with players or something...

Hopefully a minor niggle.

There seems to be a lot of our players sufferer in hamstring injuries. I know it’s a common one amongst footballers due to the muscles milt joint cation, but I hope they’re monitoring the number of hamstring we’re getting now. They’re a b*stard to rehab and there’s usually always secondary injuries following return from rehab. Fingers crossed Omari just has tweak and not a tear.

I seem to remember that a lot of Prem teams in the past have requested their players to be sent back for medical examinations before pointless internationals, just as a way to protect them from injury in the games. Pretty sure its the only way they can be withdrawn by the clubs due to new agreements with the international board.

I'm guessing there is no injury just maybe fatigue after the opening games.

I agree and this piece from the EADT seems to confirm that;
It's understood the issue is nothing serious, with Town keeping their club record signing wrapped in cotton wool ahead of trips to Brighton and Southampton after the international break.
EADT

I think Omari did go down a couple of times during the Man City game which was a concern at the time. That is where this International break is a bonus.

It strikes me he’s pulled out rather than got injured in pre match training. It seems to happen a lot these days.

I think the players have little interest in the nations league/friendlies, I can't blame them, especially as they do play alot of games now with all the cups and the increasing of the EU competions.

I completely understand the disinterest in the International friendlies with what appears to have unlimited substitutions but I thought the Nations League was competitive and the only route of entry to the UEFA Euro Championships which is the next most prestigious International Competition after the World Cup and held every four years.

That's really reassuring news there,
(AM), thank-you. About time we as a club got a bit more savvy. These pointless bloody friendlies, I can't stand em.

I thought the nations league was a way to replace firndlies with more competitive games. There is still seperate qualifying stages for the euros and World Cup.

Cajuste and Al-Hamadi both came off the bench to win caps for Sweden and Iraq respectively, both teams won. Interestingly Cajuste was deployed at Right Back for the swedes.

Cameron Burgess was on the bench throughout for Australia who suffered defeat to the mighty Bahrain.

I have just been watching the ROI vs. England match and our 3 players Szmodics, O'Shea, and Ogbene all played the full 90 minutes and didn't let Ipswich or the Republic down all had good steady performances I'm proud of them all, well done lads.

Ogbene was the pick of the bunch, indeed picking up their MOTM deservedly

Very good experience for all three players and very impressed with Ogbene’s MOTM performance for the Rep O’Ireland. 👏

Yes - I too was impressed by Ogbene - if he can replicate that form for us then I can see him being the regular starter in the wide right position for us

Didn't see the game but very pleasing to hear how well Ogbene did.

I think Ogbene looked good at times but his final ball could be a lot better.

All three Town players starting for Ireland which is a pity, O'Shea taking long throw ins.

Watching England game, v Finland, and I'm feeling very frustrated watching Gordon. Why the hell doesn't he take his man on, get to that by line and cut it back into the box. All I keep thinking is our Davis ( or Clarke?) would be so much more effective

Hopefully we’ve survived this round of Internationals without any players picking up injuries unlike Arsenal and Manchester City each losing a key player to what looks like two serious injuries to Martin Odegaard and Nathan Ake.

Let's hope so. If that's the case we may even get benefit from players having a competitive run out or two rather than 'just' training.

That’s my thoughts too DB, in fact a few of our players will come back buzzing.
