Re: Delap
A great start to Liam Delaps Chelsea career picking up a Club World Cup winners medal in his first month with the club. Just a shame he didn’t bury a great chance to score a 4th goal for Chelsea after he came on as a 70th minute substitute for Joao Pedro.
I think coming on as a late substitute is what he has to look forward to next season as I can only see him as Pedro’s No2 when the season kicks off.

There's limited scope for his style ahead of Pedro, who at just 12months older looks lightyears a better player.
What strikes me about Delap is hes always looking for a fight. I think PL clubs will cotton to that and look to get him booked.
The PL defences had certainly sussed his style by the half way point last season. I'm not sure hes going to be a lot better this season. He seems to have a main attribute of running from the halfway line with the ball. He's more if a winger than a number 9 I think. Its his power that catches people's eye.
