Own personal opinion on Omari is he will be EPL class WITH similar EPL class players around him. Will be sad to see him go because he can definitely play. Big loss to ITFC.

Re: Summer 2025 Transfer Thread / Rumours
Hirst's strengths, which he is very good at, is pulling defenders all over the place, running the channels, knocking down crosses etc and generally creating stuff, he's the perfect player for that, for me the weakest part of his game is the number of goals he scores, this is backed up by his career figures. We need a good, proven goalscorer as the main striker, yes we have Szmodics, assuming he's fit, we also have goals from the midfield etc ( Clarke, Chaplin, Broadhead, Philogene) but I just don't think we can go with what we have in that department and expect it to be enough because for me it definitely won't be.

Re: Summer 2025 Transfer Thread / Rumours
Just FYI, 7 of our players have a combined 120 goal involvements between them from their last championship season, that is quite mental.Bluemike wrote: ↑Fri Jul 18, 2025 11:50 amHirst's strengths, which he is very good at, is pulling defenders all over the place, running the channels, knocking down crosses etc and generally creating stuff, he's the perfect player for that, for me the weakest part of his game is the number of goals he scores, this is backed up by his career figures. I agree of course we still need a striker to rotate with Hirst, but look back at the last champ season from 24/25 - NOBODY got over 20 goals and only 3 got over 15....

Hopefully Szmodics can reproduce the form from his last season in the championship, Clarke and Philogene also need to step up. If we can add another quality striker we should be in good shape

That's my feeling too, I don't think it's fair to just have Hirst as the only out and out striker, suicide for me. I'll be amazed, and dare I say it, pissed off if we don't sign another.

Looks like Mbeumo to Man Utd is over the line so Hutchinson's move will probably follow on in the coming hours.

This will be dependent on where McKenna decides to play SS. He has a nasty habit of playing players out of their optimal position. SS for me would be excellent in the #10 role.

Re: Summer 2025 Transfer Thread / Rumours
Forward Omari Hutchinson’s Town exit looks to have moved a step closer with Brentford reported to have agreed a fee with Manchester United for Bryan Mbeumo.
The Bees view Hutchinson as a replacement for Mbeumo, for whom they are understood to have accepted a fee of £70 million - £65 million guaranteed - with the Red Devils.
On Tuesday, the West Londoners made a number of offers to the Blues for the England U21 international, eventually reaching the £35 million relegation release clause fee prior to it expiring at 5pm, but without meeting the required payment terms with bid payable over a longer period of time.
While Town are not actively looking to sell Hutchinson this summer, the Bees appear certain to come back in with a further offer, which would have to be in excess of £35 million and on the basis of cash up front to the greater degree rather than over a period of years, which could well be acceptable to the club.
Elsewhere, Italian journalist Nicolo Shira says a deal to 2030 awaits the 21-year-old at Brentford.
Hutchinson, who has four years remaining on his Blues contract, is now believed to have returned from his holiday, having been given additional time off following the England U21s’ successful European Championship campaign, but is not with Town in Austria.
The Blues paid Chelsea an initial £20 million for Hutchinson last summer with the £2.5 million top-up clauses having been triggered over the last year. The West Londoners are understood to be due a percentage of the fee - 25 per cent of profit was reported at time of last year’s move - Town would receive.
Hutchinson is one of two of the Blues’ key players close to leaving with skipper Sam Morsy’s exit to Kuwait SC understood to be all but done, the Egypt international having been offered a very lucrative two-year deal.

If we could pick him up gor free, maybe as a pool player, but overall I think the club will be looking younger and higher calibre.... we definitely have targets that we are speaking too. Active couple of weeks ahead, I think. Hopefully lol

He'd definitely be an upgrade on Al-Hamadi for 3rd striker and is a free agent, scores goals and this level too

Re: Summer 2025 Transfer Thread / Rumours
We were talking about how a couple of our players have been allowed to run contracts down and go on a free, well I cannot believe Walker- Peters has been allowed to leave Southampton on a free, that really is bad planning, very good player indeed and big loss to the Saints

Yeah was Mike says would take him to replace Ali, but not otherwise as frankly we are already over our 25 man squad limit, we can't be carrying players for the sake of it and need to be sharp on our squad.hallamblue wrote: ↑Fri Jul 18, 2025 2:26 pmIf we could pick him up gor free, maybe as a pool player, but overall I think the club will be looking younger and higher calibre.... we definitely have targets that we are speaking too. I wonder if the club are still working on bringing Marc Guiu on loan from Chelsea? You'd think Chelsea would be up for it after seeing how Delap and Hutchinson progressed here

Some of the names mentioned here, just don't know who they are or in the dark about what they could bring to the table. Thing about these proposed deals or what we're intending to do, they have to feasible. There won't be no outlandish purchases or nothing that can't be achieved.
Maybe consider Dessers from Glasgow Rangers if ever were available. Easily one of the best forward players in the SPL and could be persuaded to drop into the English leagues. Considered also Stansfield from Birmingham but they won't allow him leave. Kelman won't be recognized by everyone but he's an up and coming United States international with a future ahead and did great in League One last season, outscored everyone else in the league.
Gone back to his parent club for now but if they could loan him out again or consider a sale, you could do a lot worse than take an interest.

Too similar to Ben Johnson IMO, no need for both.
More of an attacking RB, we need the half CB half RB which Axel did so well, then Davis can get up the pitch and do damage.
Also likely to get a prem move, West Ham interest but you'd think he would go in as backup to Wan-Bassaka. Also would not suprise me if he went to a Leeds or Sunderland.

Walker-Peters is already snapped up, I think it was either West Ham or Fulham from memory
