Francis Jeffers

Post by squiz18 » Thu Dec 29, 2005 9:21 pm

Francis Jeffers will return to Charlton Athletic after failing to win a permanent move to Rangers.
The 24-year-old striker was a deadline-day loan signing for the Scottish champions in August but has not scored during his time at Ibrox.

Jeffers' agent, Struan Marshall, told the Daily Express: "Franny will be returning to Charlton on 1 January.

"We have spoken to Rangers and they have decided not to follow up their interest in Franny."

Jeffers failed to hit the net in 14 appearances and will become the next player to head for the Rangers exit door after fellow forward Federico Nieto left the club this week.

"They feel he just hasn't done it for them," said Marshall.

"Franny is disappointed because he didn't have the best of luck with injuries in Scotland, but we just have to accept Rangers' decision and look to try to make an impact at Charlton."
Any chance we could loan him till the end of the season ?

It's not who you have (names) it's putting them together as a team, in the 70's only one of our players went on to play well for another team, I believe he won two FA cup's in a row LOL.

We had players that wanted to play, 16 man squad and they were the best England had to offer.

And there the nail is hit squarely and firmly on the head!

Not only do we not currently have a team, we have a lot of poorly playing and demotivated individuals

He's definately another Bowditch...too much early promise which he's never lived up to. No goals in 14 appearances for Rangers says it all....

No no and thrice no, we need a striker who has proved that he can bang in goals at this level and won't be a doubt... Jeffers does not fit that mould
