Supps stays in goal

Post by Dazza » Fri Dec 30, 2005 9:39 am

Shane Supple will continue in goal against Luton on Saturday with Lewis Price still struggling with a groin injury.

Welsh international Lewis has had a scan on the injury which has troubled him for a couple of weeks and saw him sidelined for the defeat at Hull in midweek.

"Lewis has been for an x-ray on his groin and we will see what the results are but Shane will play against Luton," Town boss Joe Royle confirmed.

"We are blessed at this Club with two very good young 'keepers and it won't be a problem at all for us with Shane in goal. He has already proved he can cope at Championship level."

Supple in goal does give me some hope tomorrow, At least he will claim those high balls that luton thrive on.
