That after we have spent the £300,000 on Williams there will be a very small amount of cash left. We will then be looking at long term loan signings.

If Royle goes all out and says, then we've still got £1.2m to spend, then that's just as good as telling the other clubs, 'we've got the money, so please don't give us cut-price deals'. It's much better for Joe to keep pleading poverty so that we can get the best possible deals.
