Joe jealous of Redknapp

Post by jjlj_itfc4eva » Sun Jan 08, 2006 1:30 pm

Ipswich boss Joe Royle admits he is jealous of his Portmouth counterpart Harry Redknapp as the two men prepare to go about their transfer business.

Redknapp, whose side put Town out of the FA Cup on Saturday, is considering his options after hailing the arrival of new co-owner Alexandre Gaydamak as "every football club's dream".

For Royle, it is a different story as he cuts his cloth acordingly.

"Harry is about to start playing fantasy football and good luck to him," Royle admitted. "I am looking to bring one forward in next week - but I won't be spending roubles."
Great. We have a manager and a chairman that are not prepared to spend money to save the club from relegation    :( :( :(

Sorry, but I think you're missing the point. Rouble isn't an amount of money, it's simply the Russian currency. Joe is simply comparing himself with Harry Redknapp.
