More McDonald Interest

Post by Riviera » Mon Jan 16, 2006 7:16 am

Blackpool and Boston United are the latest clubs to show interest in striker Dean McDonald. Both are keen to sign the 19-year-old on loan.

Last week the Blues turned down a £75,000 offer from Hartlepool for the former Arsenal trainee. Boss Joe Royle says that Pools are yet to return with a bigger offer: "We will have to see if Hartlepool want to meet our valuation but they have not come back to us so far.

"We have had other clubs asking about taking Dean on loan but there is no point in that.

"There are clubs interested in Dean but we would only consider them if the price was right and the cash could help us in other areas."

Millwall are reported to have joined Oldham in showing an interest in midfielder Kevin Horlock. The 33-year-old has been told he will not be offered a new contract at the end of the season and can find a new club during the transfer window.

Going to Boston would be a massive mistake for the lad - onloan or otherwise!! The manager there is about as clueless as I am on a beer session!!!

besides that club might even have the plug pulled before the season is actually out. We may have problems at ITFC but the problems at Boston are massive - fan intimidation and corrupt members associated with the club all the way from Boardroom to the manager make them the Football leagues biggest shambles!!!

The fact that the manager is due in court september this year because of major financial irregularities following their promotion to the football a few years back shows the class of the man involved!!

looks like the writing is on the wall though, BFJ obviously doesnt want him or rate him, but to be honest im not sure he can form an honest view given his lack of 1st team chances

as for boston, well they dont even deserve to be in the league, they should of been stopped from coming up when it all came out about their dodgy deals, and chesterfield were never punished for there dodgy deals either

Tell me bout it RIV - and to think the ex-boston manager at the time is now boston manager again after serving his 20 month ban - only because his mate bought the football club. Amazing that he wasn't given a life ban from football. Both for the crimes and the under hand use of large men to try and cause problems for the investigation. Mob mentality has no place in football.
