Town have confirmed that striker Dean Bowditch has joined Wycombe Wanderers on a three-month loan. The Blues have stipulated that they can recall the 19-year-old after the first 28 days of his spell at the Causeway Stadium.
Manager Joe Royle told the club site: "Dean has not played much football here over the last couple of months and has asked to go out on loan.
"He will be joining Wycombe for three months but we have an option to recall him after 28 days.
"The loan will give him the chance to play first team football week-in, week-out and, hopefully, to score a few goals."
Bowditch joins fellow Town man Aidan Collins on a short-term stay with the Chairboys, while former coach John Gorman is manager and academy product Matt Bloomfield is a key man in their midfield.
The England U19 international frontman, who spent two months on loan at Burnley last season, should be available to make his debut for the League Two leaders in their home game against struggling Stockport County on Saturday.

Well gets him out of our hair for a while - it is his last chance saloon. He can either go there - work hard come back and prove a point.
Or he can go there with his inflated ego and end up on the football scrap heap.
The guy has the talent - just needs a major kick up the arse. Still nice to see that last season he was on loan to burnley - now he has had to drop down 2 divisions LOL!!!
