Haynes hands it to Ipswich
Ipswich Town teenager Danny Haynes took a break from limping around the pitch to punch home the winner in the derby at Carrow Road.

Haynes, who could apparently barely walk moments before and after the incident, threw his left arm at a knock down from Alan Lee to steer the ball in off Gary Doherty's foot and hand the Tractor Boys a 2-1 win.

Haynes had earlier claimed a penalty when clattered by Robert Green, but to no avail. Lee, who cost Town £50,000 for each of his chins when he signed from Cardiff recently, did his best impression of a sack of spuds but also failed to con the officials.

Jonatan Johansson put City ahead in the first half and came within a whisker of a second in the last 20 minutes when he diverted Paul McVeigh's overhead kick against a post with Lewis Price well beaten.

Ipswich had drawn level through Jimmy Juan's deflected free kick and had also hit a post through Matt Richards. Richards and Darren Currie, who impressed throughout, also brought great saves out of Green.

The visitors had the best of the second half after Nigel Worthington's curious half-time substitutions upset the balance of his Norwich side. He withdrew Dickson Etuhu and Andy Hughes for Darren Huckerby, who typically flattered to deceive, and the unfit Carl Robinson. McVeigh was ineffectual throughout while Robert Earnshaw, whose pace had threatened to spring Ipswich's offside trap on several occasions in the first half, was under-utilised after the break.

The result leaves the Canaries stranded in mid-table behind their local rivals and staring another long Championship season in the face. Zesh Rehman performed very solidly on his debut and should prove an asset for the rest of this term, while Johansson showed glimpses of his class. Earnshaw's pace, once he and his team mates become fully acquainted, will trouble far better defences than Joe Royle's.

Read the last bit.

I know our defence is sh*t, but we done him up today, he did nothing
