Garvan On Derby Win

Ipswich Town midfielder Owen Garvan says Town’s 2-1 derby victory against Norwich on Sunday has given the whole club a lift.

Garvan: “This is just the result that will give everybody connected with Ipswich Town a huge lift, our fans will enjoy it, and they deserve to be rewarded for their support, which was fantastic again yesterday.

“Club officials will take heart from it, and the management will be pleased to gain a deserved three points in such a big match.

“And as far as the players are concerned it will do our confidence no harm at all. We are still aiming for the play-offs.

“Hopefully we can give our fans many more days like the one they enjoyed yesterday.

“We fully deserved our success, and the win was a wonderful delayed 18th birthday present for me,”
