Royle has pretty much admitted its over now. Said if we cant finish 6th then we want 7th or 8th. Also said he wants them to entertain for a terrific band of fans.
Maybe looking at it its best that the playoffs are now out of reach. Hopefully Royle will bring through more fringe players like casement, Nash Knights etc. See the best striking partnership if they all get fit etc. Then sort out exactly who we need to sign in the summer and really go for it next season. Maybe making the playoffs this season would be either to much for the younger players to cope with the dissapointment of not going up or if they did go up, then Very high chance of going back down again and pissing about in the championship again.
The rest of this season can be used to sort out for next.
Hopefully Royle will now realise this and give upo on the playoffs. If not now then maybe losing on Staurday as well would be good to put the final nail in our playoff coffin.

This season has been a bit of a shocker really (due to stuff like ridiculous amounts of injuries, suspensions etc) and to be honest a few months ago I honestly thought we would be looking at a relegation struggle as we seemed to be in a complete rut and without the sort of players to fight our way out of it, so for us to have even have been in with a shot of the play offs with 7 matchs left is something of a triumph.

Yeah, this was never really going to be our season, was it? I know it's disappointing for now, but I'm sure the lessons learned this season will help us next year. I didn't think would finish as well as we have this season, but I do have a very good feeling about next season. I just hope we can keep Royle here because I like how he's building a team again. He's had a couple years now, so they had better deliver next season.

And by the way, the guy that called Radio Suffolk after the Millwall game and said he wasn't renewing his season ticket after that performance good ridance, we don't need twats like you anyway

OK, i concede, the fat lady is in full voice now and about to start her encore. Oh well, sh*t happens. let's just hope we can get some decent points on the board and then look forward to next season. My only question is, what do we have to get excited about. Last pre-season we were all looking forward to watching Peters (who?, i here you ask!) and look what happened there. Still, never mind, up the Town!
