Would be interesting, but don't think it would be in our best interests as an English club. The season is already packed with two cups and 46 league games. The effect on the players wouldn't be good, and if you look at the team just now there are a hell of a lot of injuries.

The added strain of another competition wouldn't be a wise move. If we didn't enter the League cup then it would be more desirable.

It has been done before - specifically for teams in the second league of the country - it was the Anglo-Italian Cup and it involved Division 1 teams and Serie B teams. I think we got to the semis a couple of times - and got beaten by Port Vale!

As far as I know it wasn't hugely detrimental on our season and was a good money-spinner.

At the end of the day, it's a great source of experience - the players have to play in a different style - or at least play against it. The aim of any player in a league like this is to reach an international standard - and this is the perfect start. As well as that, it gives clubs like Notts County a chance to win something... like they did in 1995!!!!

maybe but would have to ditch carling cup in my opinion and thats not gonna happen me thinks. if were to happen though there should be preliminary rounds and group stages or early stages of knockout between teams of the same country until the round before the 1/4finals maybe? this would be to save teams n fans travelling abroad midweek. god it sounds like ive put some thought into this!!
