Proudlock's Gone!

Post by DeIpswich » Fri Mar 24, 2006 7:41 pm

TWTD understands that Town striker Adam Proudlock has left the club by mutual consent after being told he would not be offered a new deal in the summer. The 24-year-old underwent a knee operation last month and had been ruled out for the rest of the season.

Proudlock joined the Blues in October, initially on loan, after he was sacked for a number of breaches of club discipline at Sheffield Wednesday. In January the former Wolves man was given a contract until the end of June and was challenged to win himself a longer stay at Portman Road.

A persistent knee injury restricted the Wellington-born striker to just three starts and six sub appearances in his brief stint with Town.

I felt that Proudlock was out of his depth at this club!!! BFJ gave him a chance on the pretext that he was available for near enough zilch. He never looked like scoring. I hope he stays positive but not in this league,He simply is not good enough.

Yeah he's had terrible luck with injuries. Hasn't really done anything wrong but fate didn't give him a chance to do anything right either. Good luck with rebuilding your life and career somewhere else Adam.
