no we won't win promotion - I'm not that optimistic. I've known for a while deep down that this wasn't our year. and I'll tell ya, it's a strange feeling for me to have. for someone that began supporting Town in 95/96 I have never witnessed such a drab Town season as this. one of the things I love about supporting this club is the fact that every damn year we're involved in something. whether it's an automatic promotion race, a relegation battle, or just the inevitable play-off semi-final. but this year? well let's face it - it's been dull. our hopes of a late run into the play-offs have faded this month and now we are staring mid-table mediocrity in the face. absolutely unthinkable for a Town fan. but wait.... what's this?

Ipswich Town and bitter rivals Norwich City are deadlocked with the same games played, same points and even the same goal difference!!! only goals scored can separate the East Anglian duo. who'd have funked it? well it had to happen of course - we are Ipswich Town, and we always have something to fight for! so I urge all tractor boys to pull your fingers out of your arse and cheer on the lads because we still have one hell of a fight on here! it may only amount to bragging rights but I know it still means an awful lot. hell we're even level with norwich on aggregate scorelines this season - we beat them at their place by one goal and they did the same to us! so stop feeling sorry for yourselves Town fans and lets cheer on the lads to what promises to be the greatest climax to a season ever!!! we can do it!
