Season Ticket Sales
It appears that Town have sold 15,000+ season tickets so far.
Town have revealed that season ticket applications fell just short of their target of 16,000, around 2,000 down on this year's total. The deadline for purchasing tickets for 2006/07 at the lower cost was the Thursday prior to Easter.
Chairman David Sheepshanks, currently on holiday in Australia, expects sales over the summer to meet the target: "It's a little tight but the figure is near enough to our target of 16,000 and we expect to see further supporters join us as the build up to the new season commences."
"I'd like to take this opportunity to thank everybody who has renewed their season tickets and to those supporters who have joined us for the first time for the tremendous faith they have shown in the club."
"We have no wish to sell any of our players, and indeed we are proactively planning a share issue, the entire proceeds of which are to be invested in the team."

Spot on Shed, And if I may be sobold as to say so.Shed on tour wrote:Me thinks Sheepy is having trouble with his maths again.
I thought we sold 18,500 last year so it would mean we are at this moment in time 3,000 down.
If the manger and team had performed correctly by at least trying to get
us to the play offs I think we would have exceeded this.
I think Town will now be paranoid that some of those members who have
opted for the 3 cheque payment for their season tickets may ell now
cancel those cheques. What a position to be in.. Not very good at
all..
When you see the likes ofthe performance poor old sunderland put up against Man U its enough to make your blood boil.

Funny you should mention that as Moped and I were discussing that scenario the other day.
Another thing which I can't understand is that sheepy originally said that there would be no forcible player sales if we matched last seasons s/t sales (18,500 approx). Now all of a sudden a figure of 16,000 is being mentioned as the target set by the club.

Perhaps I'm being cynical but why is it I have this feeling that there is some backtracking ready to come out of PR?

You knows it Shed. But then again of course WE are all IGNORANT
IPSWICH FANS..
lol
Perhaps the under performances of late, thus slowing down
season ticket sales will give sheepy reason to state.

And when the results come back and we go for the title the crowd will come flooding back, beggining for forgiveness.
