Ipswich Town have recalled defender Aidan Collins from his loan spell at Stockport County.
Collins had started just two games for the relegation-threatened League Two side since arriving at Edgeley Park in the middle of March.
The 19-year-old also had a loan spell at Wycombe earlier this season.
Meanwhile, Stockport's on-loan Aston Villa midfielder Jamie Ward may miss Saturday's game against Shrewsbury with an ankle injury.

Seems a bit strange, why recall him when he's been told he can leave at the end of the season. I hope they are not dicking him around.

That is weird?? Seems pretty selfish when he's unlikely to play for us??!! Change of heart?

.......not likely

Nearly fell off my chair when I saw this on sky sports last night!!!
If I was the player I would refuse to play for the club!!! Not being funny it was made quite clear to the player that he wasn't needed any longer - so he is trying to get some games under his belt and make a name for himself - only to be recalled??
If it is the player who has instigated this because he isn't playing then fair enough - but if it is the club then it really makes them a laughing stock - this is nearly as bad as the Dean McDonald situation!

i agree it does seem wrong but hes still contracted to ITFC until june, and we're probably paying his wages, so as i said before, we've used the 24 hour recall clause, BFJ would only have insisted on the 24 clause if he was worried about cover at the back
but saying that, with feck all to play for now id of let his carry on at stockport, i bet he doesnt even get a game back at town

We have recalled him as back up for our injuries. Casement is out injured now, so he seems likely he may get a game.

Maybe another club wants him, and Ipswich are doing him a favour?
Maybe he believes he will get one game which could eman a bigger club will come in for him... who kniws!

well he's not in the squad so they have probably brought him back to carry Jim off at the end.
