MEET THE PLAYERS
Just wondering what the impressions were of the players at the 'after party'. In particular did anyone speak to Deano Bowditch - does he comes across in the negative way that he is often painted!??

Re: MEET THE PLAYERS
I had a chat with Dean, and to be honest i was impressed with his attitude. He said he'd struggled for form this season, and had not played well, and that he was determined to work his arse off in the summer and force his way back into Joe's plans.vaalae wrote:Just wondering what the impressions were of the players at the 'after party'. His attitude, seemed spot on to me, fair play to the lad, and i wish him well for the future.

A dose of reallity is a wonderful thing. Hopefully no longer thinks he is the next wayne rooney - thats the kind of damage caused by idiots like Chris Kamara raving about Bowditch after one match as if he was the second coming or something.Bluebird wrote:I had a chat with Dean, and to be honest i was impressed with his attitude. To be fair he's hardly going to say ..."Ive been a complete arrogant sod since I was aware West Ham were looking at me "Bluebird wrote:I had a chat with Dean, and to be honest i was impressed with his attitude. Agreed, highlight for me was meeting and talking to MagicMissblue wrote:Dean Bowditch is a polite and lovely young man. I can see why people think he's arrogant or whatever. But i assure you, he isn't![]()
I was impressed by all the other players too, alot were very chatty and you could have a laugh with them.
Grand night

Alan Lee is a great bloke, he is loving it here, and said we will see more from him next season when his fully fit, and he admitted that he deliberately wacked Malky over the hordings at Watford

Had a long chat with Ian Westlake, who is a fellow essex boy and have to say a top bloke. He said he be glad to see the back of this season, both personally and for the club. He hopes to have a good pre-season and to get back to full form and fitness next season. He said he still talks to Darren Bent and that all the ex-town players at Charltown wish they were still here

Finally, BFJ, he said that he reminded the players and h/t on saturday that they had to face us lot that evening, and did they want to after a 4th straight defeat, i said shame he didn't remind them of that at Luton and Watford etc. Joe is talking a good game for next season, he said with his existing squad FIT, he could guarantee the play offs, and if he can add three players that his targeted then he believes a top two finish to be a realistic target. The man confuses the hell out of me, his decisions at times are baffling and make me think "Royle out", but every time i met the guy and listen to him talk, i can't help liking him and respecting him again. Buggered if i know

Anyway, just thought i'd share what were for me personally the more interesting bits of the evening.

Grand nightJimmy said he hoped to stay but had no idea what was going to happen in the summer. Sito is a lovely fella, he was so happy to be here, loves the club and loves english footie, apart from the sh*te refs
. Lewis Price said he might have to look for a move as he can't afford another season on the bench, which is fair enough.

Very interesting read BB. Perhaps the fact that us ANS are kept in the
dark somewhat, and mysterious decisions are made we will feel
the worst. I for one know for a fact if we get to he play-offs next year
alone we will be hailing BFJ as a hero albeit at the moment our opinions
may seem low of him.
Only answrr is to perhaps have a monthly meeting to install confidence in
the fans, I wonder if BFJ would do a monthly letter to us all at TB.com
to help us keep the faith.. Worth a try I suppose. (Gets pen and paper
ready)..
Nice one.
